Live Resin

So I'm pretty ignorant when it come to extracts and concentrates and there's a lot of misinformation and different terminology out there so I would like to clear things up. So I just bought a gram of "live resin" from a friend after my weed ran out. I don't trust other people's stuff around here bc it's way too harsh. I grow organically so when I'm out I decided to get wax instead of weed bc it seems much cleaner than normal weed.

I got a gram of "live resin" which is apparently the same as wax but made from a fresh plant instead of a dried and cured on. I decided that I would like to turn my weed into this for now on instead of smoking it in plant form. Can anyone point me out to some guides for making some and also clarify the differences btw "live resin" and normal wax and also what the proper term is for future reference?

Yeah but from what I'm seeing there's no way to do live resin without expensive preofession equipment. I don't know how safe doing bho's is without a closed loop system and o don't know if I should try. From what I'm seeing I can make a good rosin press for about $250. So I'm probably gonna do that.

Yeah I thought of that but I don't like the idea of using alcohol. After a lot of research I found a video ok YouTube about making "Frozin". Pretty much running material thru bubble bags with dry ice and then pressing it. Seems like the best way to go imo. So I'm pretty much gonna make bubble hash and then press that.

You can make bubble hash from buds too correct?

Fresh frozen is as close as you can get to live resin. So what's the prob, you don't have $40,000 laying around to start making live resin? What kind of stoner are you? Jk lol :bigjoint:

Good to know. Another one of my concerns is purging the butane. But how does rosin compare to bhos?

All I really want to know is if it’s worth it. If I should just go the frosin route (fresh rozen plants ran thru bubble bags and pressed) or bhos. Is there a significant difference in quality and/or yield and how difficult and effective purging the gases is with a vacuum.

I just transplanted all my plants yesterday and im gonna flip in about 2 weeks so I’d like to start getting all the materials together.

I have pretty much switched over to Concentrates, primarily because of all the commercial grade KB / beasters that has flooded the market. I look for the best of the best as i have been smoking for a long time and have a high tolerance. I need DANK / heady stuff and its becoming harder and harder to find. Most growers i know grow for themselves and thats about it. Might get lucky and cop a 1/4 or a 1/2 but once thats gone your waiting for another 120 days or so smh. I have a line on Live resin and i love the taste and High when properly made. Sine i have been getting into concentrates its seems that Colorado has the Concentrates on lock while Cali still has the bud on lock? Im speaking on a commercial basis when i say that. The local growers around here produce AMAZING stuff, but like i said they aint coming off of any and if they do its not much. I will say this tho......i have fell in love with concentrates lol. Great, long lasting high with head thumping results

Same here man. I used to dog on my friend about em. Like why would you grow great weed just to destroy it? But I’m done with flower pretty much. Long as I can get my hands on concentrates I’m going to. Have my halo reactor shorty mod that’s I used to use when I did my e cig thing and got a saionara atomizer and never looked back. So now I’m planning on turning all of my bud tonconcentrates for now on. Long lasting clean high, stealthy, more convenient on the go, and cleaner. I realized how much extra shit your smoking with flower for no reason and yeah.... Not to mention a gram of good live resin or shatter is $70 where I get it. And it lasts longer than a quarter of flower for $120 would last me. So it’s also more efficient imo.

So at this point I’m pretty set on bubble bags with dry ice or bubble hash and then pressing.

Gonna buy a quarter in a few weeks and experiment with that before I try doing it with my babies.

Luckily i can get good live for 50 a G or stupid good wax, shatter, cake batter ect for 40 a G. Deff cleaner and more convenient

My thing is the return, you get so much more concentrate from using BHO opposed to bubble hash. I just did my first BHO run using a mason jar it's very easy. I didn't have a vac to purge to let it sit for 2 days and hit it with heat s few times a day. Pretty much 20-30$ in supplies plus the main ingredient
