LM561C S6 build question

thanks for all the help guys, i was planing on doing a perpetual harvest kind of setup, so i really wanted one separate light for veg, i had decided on 3k and 5k but im not sure anymore, im probably going to try and do this with flexible strips to get 14 strips for max efficiency

I thin k you are on he right track. I would not listen to folks telling you to buy QB';s instead of doing you. That is their desire. You have a handle on what you are doing. Your math looks fine to me.
peace
There is no difference between ordering a pcb with lm561c diodes from HLG, alibaba, or digikey. they all get you the same thing. For you to not recommend one of the most popular lights right now shows major bias in your opinion.

@OP, i don't own anything from HLG, and in fact ordered my lights from alibaba who Vegas is telling you to look up. What does that say to you?
Honestly ordering the diy parts and everythng is a PITA so yes I will recomend a one stop shop that will get you everything you need, one of their qb kits would rock your 4x2.

If your still set on doing everything you said then check out these threads for some awesome guides.

He did not ask for hlg you pushed that. Go back and read the OP they asked about strips not qb that was you.
Back to ignoring you so stop filling threads with you hatred misinformation and ignorance. It is embarrassing to watch.

Again showing your true colors with bullying and trash talking. Grow up already.

I use 2 separate lights and cabs for my grows.
I use 6000k for my DIY veg light and 3200k for the diy flower light.
When I make the 12 12 light switch I will upot and let em grow under the veg light during the flower stretch for up to 14 days. then continue flower under the 3200k flower light
This grow I'm using both cabs for flowering tho. I'm just running some experiments.

after talking to some vendors on alibaba i found a good deal on a 2 feet strip (560 mm) with 48 leds, its 24V and run at 1200 mA max.

what kind of setup would u recomend to fill a 2 x 4, one being a 300-320w flower fixture and another being 150w for veg

24 strips on a HLG-320H-24A and 12 on a HLG-150H-24A. ~550mA per strip/~92,5mA per diode, ~175lm/w.

How much did you pay and how much strips for min. order? I have seen them, they look like Samsung H-Series copy. Do you know if they also offer CRI90? And at last, can you provide a direct link?

I use 5000k and 3000k mixed together for flower and veg. I also have a few 5000k and 3500k I use also.
Both are two channel run in series so I keep a 50/50 relationship between 5000k/3000k from veg to flower.
Your basically mixing the two different color diodes on your board in a 50/50 mix ? Is the 5000/3000 the better yield vs. straight 3000, 3500, etc. ?

that sounds like a constant voltage strip, the same company probably also makes constant current strips as well. ask them if they do. I have some constant voltage 24v 5000k and they work fine with a 24v power supply. I used 5m, but you could probably pack more into a space, but you will have to get a dimmer for constant voltage power supply to control intensity.

After I made the panel at 200w, I thought to myself, If I put another 16 strips on the same 28"x18" cookie sheet, I would have 32 rows of 49 diodes on two C1400B drivers for 400w of power that would easily handle a 2'x3' area for both flower and veg, maybe even a 3x3 area.

On these flexible strips the diodes do not seem to get hot. I have them mounted on thin aluminum flat stock , but that was overkill. Now I have a backing aluminum cookie sheet and that seems just right, plus readily available either new or used. I saw one on ebay used in NYC for pickup only. A 400w cookie sheet with a couple of pc fans on them, maybe a couple thin angles attached with some 3m tape for extra dissipation. Too much fun and soo easy too. DIY like it was meant to be, fun.

Love them strip builds.looking good bro! My veg light runs at 155watts Max. 32 strips of 15 diodes each. 240 diodes per panel. 2 panels. I zig zagged the lights to give it a Lil more spread mine are just 5630 6000k type diodes20170702_004052.jpg
