Alibaba is like gambling you might get lucky and get what you ordered. You should also look at the samsung strips sold on digikey for another alternative to the HLG QB's.

Ty. My man .My first post ,I'm new on here and thank you very much for the advice . Happy Growing !!!!
There are manufacturers on Alibaba you can trust. And there are ways to ensure that you get what you pay for with some extra testing.

There are even people respectable people on this forum that will test it for you if you ship a board to them.

The thing is you can find dirty crap anywhere. A Hydro store is a good example of this. This is my opinion, you shouldnt buy stuff without researching it first. There are several people who's had succsessfull grows with pcb's from Alibaba. But like I said, you can find crap anywhere so look closely instead of quickly.

Really? You can trust them because they told you so? Go ask the user on here who made an order for the lm561c boards from Alibaba and the vendor had no idea how 561b was put on instead.

It's sad someone didnt get what they ordered. But This gives us the chance to learn and grow from the experience.

You can still find a manufacturer you can trust. With more information on these manufacturers it gets easier to weed out the bad and support the good.

I think exploring is healthy for growing, and this is just another part of finding the way you can grow great plants for your self.

Look I'm just getting sick of seeing all these Alibaba recommendations and everyone thinking they are reinventing the wheel. I am one of those who took a gamble and purchased from Alibaba and in truth am not 100% happy with the product. Y'all can rip on HLG always being low on stock and overpriced but even look at Samsung, they produce their own strips like the q strips and h series and Alibaba is alot cheaper than them. That begs to me the question of authenticity if they can sell them that much cheaper than Samsung itself.

Are you mad because no one mentioned HLG? Why are you angry at people trying to get by another way?

You are only robbing your self of opportunity when you judge a book by it's covers.

Dont get my post wrong tho, I have nothing against HLG! Infact I respect their work alot. So why you go on like this is just weird and presumptious of you.

I bought cheap led arrays from AliExpress which is probably alibaba. Anyway they ended up being of cheap quality and not lasting, plus customer service sucked big time.

can you recommend a few seller from alibaba from which we know we would get good lm561c s6 led??

Most of sellers seems to be coming from shenzhen so I dont think just that is a reference and to be honest I wouldnt be surprise if 9 out of 10 manufacture from that area are all the same.. this way it will help us order from a place known for better quality knowing there is never a guarantee from china.. but you put the odds on your side..

Ive myself ordered 4 boards from alibaba this week and may get them by friday.. I will try to test them although im far from an electrician guru.. hopefully my seller will be one of the "recommended seller" and not one to avoid..

Thanks

There is no "recommended seller" on alibaba. You can get "fake boards" with LM561b+ or b from any of these dealers, no matter if Meizu, Hanison, R2T or whatever. It's more like a gamble and if you're lucky you'll get LM561c in S6, if not, you maybe end getting LM561b+ in S3 or S4 bin.
Who knows?!
Top bins are usually more expensive, but you can not recognize the bin when mounted on such a board. At least we can distinguish LM561b+, because the ESD device is more visible on this diodes.

Hopefully your boards come with true LM561c! My thumbs are pressed!

thanks ill look into them, i was also thinking about the flexible strips u can get by the meter, if i want to light a 2x4 area with 300 watts evenly as possible what would be your recommended setup, if i wanted to run the diodes at 150 mA that is
the strips have 72 leds/ meter
thanks

These are flexible strips designed to be run at 150mA using a C1400B driver. You can read about the build here -:>https://growgreenled.wordpress.com/2017/11/26/diy-flexible-strips-part-3-the-build/

Holy crooked diodes Batman. That is one sloppy strip.
LOL.
That is why it is called DIY on the cheap. A cheap cookie sheet, a couple rolls of diodes not costing much, a few solderless connectors, and a HLG-185H-C1400B MW driver from TRC electronics and Holy Smoke Batman! a working 200w board that costs like a fifth of the Commercial fixtures and drives around 190lm/w. I will let you do the math BATMAN!
LOL

has anybody ever received a board with LM561b+ in place of lm561C from Meijiu, Hansion, R2T, or Bava?

Yes some have received what is believed to be lm561b+ Its very hard to differenciate one vs lm561c without taking out a led from the board to look underneath or some very extensive electricial testing.. at the end of the day at half the price it was worth for me to take the risk to MAYBE loose 10% effiency b+ vs c)but pay 50% of the retail price. To each their own. So far im very satisfied with the two boards I have received.

doesnt seem too hard to differentiate between lm561b+ and lm561c

can u please lead me to the instances where someone got scammed by one of these companies?
I will try to see if my old digital camera 16x zoom can still turn on.. and also if it can produce a clear picture of a small led on my boards.. I can share with you but as I said there is only a +\- 10% difference which is not major. there would be no way of knowing the binning without good equipement which is probably what would impact the most your lm/w
