Hey I am looking at moving to Michigan and getting a patient/caregivers card and I would like any information that would help me out in the process. First thing I need to know is there any place in Michigan that I shouldn't move ? ( I was thinking of moving to Grand Rapids) Is this a good place to move or should I be looking at houses elsewhere? Second is how hard is it to get a caregivers card? Are there doctors out there who will give a recommendation to patients without a lot of paperwork? 3rd is how hard is it to get patients and whats the process of getting them to sign me as there caregiver. I was planning on renting a place for a month or 2 before I got my home so I made sure I could get caregivers card before I went out and bought a house, would the fact that I just moved there be a problem and if I got my caregivers card and moved would this present a problem? There are a lot of other questions I have to but these are the main ones I would like at answered at this time. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out :leaf:

Hey so since you have a lot of questions you can PM me or you can give us a call and we will be able to go over everything with you!!

I would recommend you to also get a certification to be a patient. You may be able to find patients looking for caregivers at this site and at Compassion Clubs. Most areas have their own Compassion Club to discuss issues within their area. So when you settle on a place to move, just google Michigan Compassion Clubs and you should be able to find meeting information.

What are the laws on plant totals? I was thinking of a similar move. Is it similar to Colorado? 3 plants in flowering max per one person?

12plants per patient or 2.5 oz of dried product per patient maximum five patients unless you include yourself then 6 hope that helps.

and just to add to Lionden, Colorado does state that you can only have 3 in flowering and 3 in veg. Michigan however does not state how many CAN be in flowering. You can have all 12 in flowering if you would like...

I think it's specifically 2.5 ounces of usable marijuana, and the only people that would care to weigh it are the overzealous coppers

Grand Rapids is a great city, I lived there for a while. I would recommend it just as a sweet place to live.

You want ot check out Lowell and Ada for living they are 1/2 hour from GR and its "little Mendocino" over there with the farm lands and welcoming neighbors.
MMJ cards are not hard to get but you will have to wait 3 months+ to actually get a physical plastic card because the state is soooo backlogged.
I am going on 2+months for my renewal.

i agree witht he others who have already suggested either Grand Rapids, Lowell, or Ada. All 3 are great places to live and are located within a half hour from each other and the downtown business area too. good luck man and welcome to Michigan whenever you get here!!
