How can this be? This is my first time growing and wanted to do multiple harvests so I can have different highs, but don't know how to proceed. Usually everywhere I read the top part gets done first. But in my case it is the other way around!

What should I do, and any idea of how long till those koalas ripen?

just harvest the whole plant when all the trichomes are at least solid cloudy, you'll be happy you did.
if you really wanna know....snip some different buds and dry them, try them.
at least a month to go before any buds are ready. you have better guess than anyone about finish time. strain, weather,
fertilizer, water, humidity, trichome conditions.....all those things we dont know about, you do.

That's true to a point. Some buds will rippen up a little faster than other buds. That's why people do staggered harvests.
A lot of sativas will rippen from the bottom up.
I do that on my sativa leaning strains, CP1, CPDA, Too Slow, etc, etc. I will cut bottom limbs when they are ready. A week later take the top buds off most limbs, then a week after that take the rest.

One of my mystery seeds from years ago i popped for the fuck of it for outdoor this year and it turned out to be sativa. it's in a small pot, 25 gallons, and is over 12 ft tall lol. i cleaned her up prob a little over a 3rd from the bottom up. she's going to have 2 huge dongs about 4 ft a piece lol. I will get a picture for you after work tonight. It didn't end up wide at all. Prob skinniest plant i've ever grown but for being in Maine it ended up tall as fuck lol.

Even with LOB {lean over, Baby} work mine are still tall. The Too Slow {CP1 X Slo2} especially. Didn't do any of the Too Slow, and very few of the CP1 this year. Kind of wish I had done more. They are not near as bad to rot as what I'm running. They take forever to finish is why I laid off them this year. I've had some go late November.
