They are causing a Barrier to access for not allowing you the choice to grow your own plus they are breaking the colleagues rules of no extra charge for scripts phone and report them for double dipping.. fucking sick of bottom feeding cannabis clinics and them looking at patients as $$$$$$$$ they legally can not charge for a script. This is so fucked I feel bad for anyone stuck in this mess! I will be holding on to my pinks. My doc even passed away 2 years ago and now I can't find a doc that is canna friendly.

They will allow you to grow however the price is obviously a lot higher...lol. If it's your own Dr you're correct they can't charge for scripts. If you're going through a clinic they find a Dr for you, Dr are allowed to charge for a block of time. This is how they are able to skirt around that issue as they charge you for your "consultation" . Dr will never get in shit for charging. I don't think many people are aware of that.

No so, at least in BC. The practice is illegal. The doctor is paid by the medical services plan for that 'block of time'. It is the clinic who charges for completing the paperwork. The fact that the doctors services are unavailable unless you pay the clinic is the issue. The doc is paid to treat patients by the taxpayer...he/she can't refuse treatment due to inability to pay a clinic or wanting to grow their own. What other medicine does the doctor charge to prescribe and does the price go up according to dosage? Can you imagine if one of these quacks set up an Oxy clinic....why are cannabis patients treated like fucking ATM's? The Dr. is triple dipping...paid by MSP, clinic extortion fees and kickbacks from the lousy producers. Blood-sucking scum.

they really need to simplify the process, the whole form is pretty long when all it should take is having a script and nothing else.

i use it for medical reasons anyways and being able to grow above the recreational proposed limit is a big plus. You can grow with some consistency and not be worried about police messing you up in your own home :/

Yeah, I guess you just have to play the ridiculous waiting game...complete bullshit. However...the forms are now just a registration of your garden and you are not seeking permission to grow. I would start my garden the day you mail the papers and post a copy on the wall.

That is exactly what I would do to! Just remember if the cops come and bust you BEFORE you get the papers back, in the end charges will be dropped but you will most likely lose everything but you grow equipment. You will also be splattered all over local news, and can you really safely grow after that?

What if you are a medical user and growing within your limits, think they will be so nice if you haven't sent HC the papers? That would be an interesting case!

Yea the wait is excessive, the license is for 1 year and if it takes them 4 months to process, how is that our fault? Its not like they give you time credit for waiting those months and extend the end date, it's always from the time you received your prescription. This whole thing with the law is the most frustrating part because many clinics won't give you a copy of your prescription so you have no way of showing the police anything and then they take everything. Does a guy, who is proven innocent, get his plants back? Do they offer them any restitution for time, effort, cost? It's a ridiculous system.
