Can Acacia confusa grow in, say, the Northeastern US? I wouldn't mind growing my own Rue and Acacia confusa.
yes, but you have a predictably harsh winter. i would recommend bringing it in for the entire frost period. i have lost leaves on mine and i am subtropical but our winters do freeze periodically. they can be bonsaid

Yeah, it was the winter that made me ask. I was curious if they can survive/hibernate in the winter.

thanks for the ID on that. I'm going to keep looking where I live in. I'm in south east so I hear it's common plant in my area.

many of the acacia do produce DMT. anyone know if this one does. ultimately I want a M. hostilis. but if I can use this to get my first round of DMT I might.

Thank you sir! you guys are awesome with the help!
I believe M. hostilis is more potent, isn't it? Might be worth the investment for me.
I couldn't tell you.... Seeds germinate easily for the mimosa though. I plan on keeping mine alive for a very long time. You should grow one, it very rewarding to look at. It has a cool microscopic world similarity to cannabis trichomes.

The trichomes had shown by year two

The nice thing about hostilis is that it does not contain so many other unpleasant compounds as some of the substitutes.
The best way to check is to wait until the tree flowers for identification.
