Maple Leaf Indica

This is from Sensi Seeds. Supposed to be two Afghani cultivars from the 1970's crossed, this is what Sensi says . Have also heard it is Ortega crossed to an Afghani, from Neville? Whatever it is, I love it.

I have real trouble sitting still and having a calm mind on most strains I smoke. This is always calming and pleasant without being stupefying. Stops the racing thoughts I often suffer from. Potency is medium at around 8 of 10, buzz lasts around 1.5 hours. I toked up an hour ago and cleaned up the kitchen for all that time. This is not couchlock weed, but I can sit still, be calm, and go to sleep an hour after toking.

A lot of happy feelings with this are common, anxiety goes bye bye. This is by no means kick ass smoke for me. Gentle from beginning to end. There are stronger indicas and hybrids is what I am getting at. The buds smell of an unknown incense and taste is good and complex. No burnt out feeling after coming down or the next day. I can smoke this all day or night and feel fine after.

This is not trippy or disorienting smoke, it seems to mostly effect emotions in a good way, and some body buzz to it. It hits pleasure centers too, a fair bit of euphoria is common. I feel ok talking to anyone on this or going anywhere doing whatever. But I got it for late night smoking sessions alone and that is what I do with it most of the time. I feel more 'normal' on this than being straight much of the time. It's good medicine.:bigjoint:

for me stronger is not always better...still love old school THAI...nice coco smell ...tight coated buds..new strains are pretty and strong...but when i drink its not always 151...when i smoke its the same way...like to smoke the whole joint...long lasting and savor the time..

MLI is one of my personal favorites. Not the tastiest smoke for me, but I love the calming effect it has. IO'll get some pics of my cut, I didn't grow it outside this year, but a buddy of mine did. Nice review.

that's why it was one of the 4 elite strains used to make hugely popular 5 years ago mother's finest.

from what i remember reading product descriptions at least if not actual smoke reports, it get's it's name from having a sweet maple syrup flavor and a less stony than afghani THC profile. i always thought it sounded like a nice first step in a breeding program with IBLs to get a fruity flavor with less of afghani's dominant traits.

maybe i'm getting the strain mixed up with duckfoot, but i seem to remember that another reason it got it's name was that it's leaves also have a slight webbing tendency.

i haven't heard anything from this strain for years. it's always nice when people step off the strain of the minute treadmill & try something off the radar.

yea for sure. I got mine as a clone, that has been grown up on the ridge for years. It is a different Afghan than what you usually see. I only have it in female obviously, but I am gonna hit it with some different males, I know I want to find a good male in my Santa Marta CG seeds, and that's the first thing I'm hitting it with.

Are there any good cuts of this floating around in Michigan? Where did you get your seeds, and when? I've heard Sensi's seeds have gone down the toilet recently, and I can't exactly afford to throw away 100 bucks on dud seeds.

I got these seeds around a year back from Seed Boutique,(they have been out of this for a while) or little less. Some Sensi seeds have gone downhill according to several I have read, but this strain is not one of them. I got that from a guy that has been buying and growing this strain for 10 years.

Always a fan of ortega bud....
A fellow named "ortegaseeker" @ MNS forums assured me that sensi's maple leaf indica hasnt went to shit.
I'd trust him.

I pray that MNS release Ortegas garlic bud an roadkillskunk he supplied to Neville a few years back.
Cmon shanibabba in waitin...

I found a more potent pheno from among the plants I grew out. I would rate it as maybe 9 out of 10 for strength. It was a bit more up with the high too, slightly intense at first if I smoked enough. It had a compact non branching, xmas tree look to it. It was close to the potency of the Pure Kush I got at the dispensary. So pretty good.

I really dont think sensi seeds have gone down hill. I think its a lil harder to find keepers from their strains since they went to 10 seeds a pack.

Great smoke report! After reading this it I ordered a pack. I found a pheno type that is spot on identical to an ogkb cut a friend of mine payed $400 for. I have taken a bunch of cuts that are growing a little slow but it's all good if it's as good as the ogkb I smoked. As soon as I figure out how to post pics I will post some to get everyone's opinion.

An update. I have found SAD by Sweet Seeds and Northern Lights by Peak seeds to give about the same general good effects. Different highs but in the same ballpark.
