Marbles instead of hydroton?

I just had a horrible nightmare about getting busted and having to tell my son where his Lego set had gone! I still haven't explained his bent Meccano set yet.
P.s. If anyone else has the idea for a Meccano light mover, forget it. It's not strong enough.

Seems like a lot of us are coming to this conclusion: hydroton - possibly not the way to go in DWC.
I don't think marbles could be hydrotons replacement lol but there is no valid reason why it wouldn't work for DWC. Plus it would look really cool.

Eh, as long as you see the one...I figure it'll have roots pushing through the nettie's soon...Though it's in a TINY rez, so I better start monitoring the pH. Yadda yadda yadda...Just an experiment, everyone else in hydroton is on track, just a touch over two weeks till I switch the red tote to flower, in 5 gallon buckets after sexing.

lol...Yeah, I've run 2 plants in an 18 gallon tote before, had a massive rootball but they were crowded...I have a couple girls in the midst of their third week in flower right now. well, 7 acutally...But 2 in 5 gallon buckets, rootballs pretty much taking the shape of the buckets...lol
