Has anyone else wondered what would happen if we, as a MMJ community, harvested seeds for the sole purpose of scattering them all over their localities?

What do you think people would think if they saw Mary Jane everywhere, growing naturally?

Do you think it would have a positive effect or negative?

My neighborhood reeked of MJ flowers last fall. My conservative friends (yes, I have some) and neighbors were curious and came over several times to see my grow. Legal rec growing is so common, I don't think there is any stigma remaining for local private noncommercial growing.

Legalize it and the bias and resistance melts away.

I think it would be fun to participate in the counter cultural actions you propose in public spaces. In places where it is illegal, there may be backlash. The stuff would be ripped out of public lands, IMO. I wouldn't scatter seeds on other people's gardens though. If feels like it would be an invasion of their personal space.

Then again, widespread wild plantings would wreak havoc on personal outdoor grows. Such as my own. So, leave Oregon out of it. I like to grow seed free females or at least minimize it.

Every grower who wanted seedless bud would have to start putting filters on their intakes along with a bunch of other annoying precautions. Spraying your shirt before walking in to weigh down pollen, sealing everything up and whatever else you can do. It would ruin many hard worked on genetics we have around and generally make it harder to find good bud. I like the thinking though!

I like to use the sun for my grows. That may not be possible in the future. Just wait. I'll be the old guy who tells younguns around the campfire about the days when anybody could grow seed-free weed in an outdoor garden. They will fake amazement then look at each other as if to say, "how many times do we have to listen to this?" LOL

Bag seed should always be disposed of in police department flower beds.
I like it. Just surreptitiously dump the seeds while admiring the flowers. Safe equivalent to urinating there. My dog does its business on their lawn but I pick it up. That would be the time to do the deed.

Yeah i cant really grow outside here as it is, at least not without being really paranoid. Stealth is key and the police helicopter here goes right over pretty often so when i had plants outside i almost had a heart attack every time i heard the damn thing

It's not their lawn. They are your "servants" remember ?

Your dog's actions tell me he's smarter than you.

What I'm talking about it is mass-producing seeds and scattering them all over the place.

Turn your locale into a field of MaryJ.

Always so spiteful and never on topic.

Tisk tisk.

I know, you should try smoking some weed.

You'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Maybe if you feminized the seeds that could be an idea but even feminized theres a small chance of a male and decent chance of a hermie.

The idea is not to harvest them, the idea is to add them to the local ecology.

Let people see for themselves how harmless it is.

a noble idea but everyone is right about the pollen. adding to the ecology means they're reproducing themselves no?

If they can grow outdoors seed free in jamaica and mexico, we can do it here. Sure, pollen travels, but unless its in your backyard, it is probably just more of a nuisance.

Eventually, the survivors will be very well adapted to your locale, and the wild seeds will be useful. They won't survive if they aren't resistant to your local weather, pests and molds. Let nature select the winners.
