i lurked on this site for countless hours. found a small plant growing outside earlier this year. i got paranoid and brought it in. before i brought it in i made a stealth grow box and germinated 4 bag seeds. i vegged the 4 bag seeds for 5 weeks until i switched to 12/12. i also brought my outside plant indoors too. I have now been flowering them all for about 4 weeks. in all i have spent less than 100 dollars on the setup. i just wanted to see if i could get buds with just the basics, light, water, air circulation and some basic nutes. also i got 4 females out of 4 seeds germinated. i was lucky i guess. also sorry for the poor pic quality. my camera is a very old cheap digi. and the pics are a week or so old. thanks to the nice folks on RIU for any help.

thanks for the compliment. the plant growing outside i am sure was some bag seed we threw off our deck. it is mostly sativa and has very skinny small leaves. it is taking forever to bud, but is slowly developing buds and white hairs. it has been growing since june haha.i just noticed the pic to upper right lol. it is a poor quality pic of the sativa.

i forgot to include some details in my first post. the medium i used was mg organic potting soil mixed with probably 50% perlite. i used mostly like 5 40-42 watt cfls and 5 26 watt cfls. a couple of weeks later in veg i added a 175w metal halide that was free. i am now flowering under 6 42w cfls 5 26w various spectrum cfls and the metal halide. hence the slow flowering. next grow if i decide to i would probably use an HPS. if you notice in the picture. out of the three bag seeds that germinated. three different phenos of the same strain came out. one taller plant with a main cola. two shorter plants, one with many main growing top colas. and one with three main colas. i was happy with these shorter plants due to height restrictions in the beginning. both shorter plants barely grew taller than a foot. i would like these characteristics to continue genetically but my clone taking ability is very novice lol.

Right on sounds like you got a decent setup, I'm only using cfl's this round 14 26w total, I want to see how they do, I'm going to be using 400w hps next round, I should have the equipment by xmas or on.

I'm having troubles with cloning as well, I've already killed like six of them, so I went out today and got what I think to be everything I need to clone properly, check out my journal, I'm going to be posting everything I purchased today.

Oh and if you were to put a space between each images that would make them flow vertical, visitors wouldn't have to scroll so much to view them also read posts, you should do this asap as there may be a time limit on editing posts.

yes i am looking into moving soon. would like to find a place with a nice little private space somewhere in it. also i would like to get a 400w hps if i grow again too. when posting pics are they appearing vertical to you? i will take your advice and space between the pics when i paste the code. and how do i link back to my journal in my sig.

I resized your pics to a size that will fit in the forums better, I changed the width to 800 and I played around with the height, most are 800 by 600 Note: I wouldn't put the width no greater than 800.

[/quote] damn thats weird. i edited the photos and to me it shows them vertical. i am using a photo hosting site but didnt consider the sizing. dont know very much about computers.

also the codes u left for the new pics just has the pics where the codes should be. lets just say i have this thread all fukked up haha. yes if anyone could let me know how the pics appear to them i would really appreciate it. any comments are gladly welcomed.

thank you much for the comment. i will see if i cant straighten these pics out. things are going smoothly. i have been giving them some molassess, about 1 tsp to 1 gallon of water every other watering along with some bloom nutes ocasionally. have some visitors coming on 13th nov so i have been debating what to do. because they are in my spare bedroom they are easily visible and smellable. my only friend that knows about them said he would baby sit them. it would be a pain in the ass to transport and setup at his house for a few days. i definately dont want to chop prematurely after putting all this time and effort in. i brought my sativa lady out today to give her some love. she doesnt get out of her box much. she looked radiant in the daylight that filtered through the window. gave her a feeding of bloom nutes. was never sure how good she will be but her buds are fattening up nicely and she is the biggest of the plants, also she has the most bud sites. the last two pics are of my shorty.

How long is your company going to be staying, do you have a closet away from where your company will be visiting the most, couldn't you temporary rig up a closet or what about a garage? they sell these heating pads for roots get one of those and rig up a light some where in your garage/shed, should be good for at least a couple of days eh .. beats harvesting them early or letting your company in on your secrete.


Hope you are able to figure something out as I would like to see these babies when they are good and ready to harvest.

the problem is i live in an apartment. i cant fit them in my closet because there is no room. the visitors are some of my close family and dont know i cultivate. i also do not have a garage. it seems as though letting my friend baby sit may be the only option. he has seen my grow from the beginning and has grown some before. he has helped through the grow by giving me a few pointers. i trust him because we have had dealings going on from way back. it is going to be a pain in the ass driving the plants to his house and setting up a grow space. hope i dont get pulled over lol. i really wanna see these mature. they have a strong skunky smell. when i leave the grow room door open it stinks the whole place up. up close they have a slight spicy smell to them. the sativa dominant doesnt have much of a smell. gave some of them a feeding earlier with some bloom nutes. i upped the strength of the mix because all along they have been getting light doses. maybe too strong of a mix because before i left for work the plant looked a little light colored in places. i have been seeing that people have viewed this thread but no one is leaving comments. if you stop by leave me some love or tell me to fukk off if you want. well time to get out of these work clothes.

dude they look sweet, definately find a way to keep them goin while ur relitaves visit cos it would be a shit to chop them too early, they look very nice.

yeah definately gotta let them finish. my friend that loaned me his 175w metal halide is gonna babysit them for a few days. i will have to transport them late at night in my car, which is gonna suck. probably wont get that huge of a yeild from them, but i just wanted to see if i could grow buds. this has become my favorite hobby by far. first thing in the morning i run into the grow room to see how they look. like a little kid. right now it is the only satisfaction i get because of my hectic life. i havent smoked bud in months but i might smoke some of my own when they get done. even though the wife sits right next to me in the car and puffs all day lol.:joint:

i tried a few times but failed. it seems as though i could use a rooting hormone for better results. i have no hydro shops near but a hardware store nearby carries a cheap rooting hormone. is it too late to take clones? i am a noob and will listen to some advice. GI thanks for stopping by and keep checking my journal out. hopefully i can get these buds to fatten up. been using mollassess every other watering. thank you to all these good people on rollitup for letting me lurk their threads and being able to learn a lot.:peace:

nice work man I wouldnt transport them too late at night because a lot of times the cops pull over many people that are driving in the very early a.m. hoping for a DUI you know what I mean I would definately do it in the dark just try to choose a good route and shit lol cause thats some risky shit
