Mathew Shepard

How many people here know who Mathew Shepard is? I bet its a lot. For those who don't he was a gay man who was murdered in 1998 because he was gay. The murder made national headlines and everyone in America knew who he was and what had happened.

Who knows who Noor Faleh Almaleki is? I bet few if anyone here knows the answer to this question. Noor Faleh Almaleki was a 20 year old girl who died after having been run over by her father last month in an honor killing.

Below is a tiny article about this occurrence from CNN. Notice that nowhere in the article is there any discussion of honor killings among Muslim families. Notice that the word "Muslim" never even appears in the article.

Why is it that when a gay man is murdered by some maniacs it is front page news in every major newspaper, but when a young girl in Arizona is murdered by her own father it barely gets any coverage?

Could it be because the Left which controls most of the media save for Fox and talk radio has an agenda?

We know that the Left desires to do two things. A) To demonstrate that violence against Gays is a huge issue and B) to downplay anything that makes Muslims look bad.

After all, the Left believes that all Muslim anger is a result of oppressive US policies and that the threat from radical Islam is a product of Right wing hysteria.

What do you suppose would have been the reaction of the Left wing media had this incident been a Christian man who killed his daughter for not being Christian enough? I guarantee this would be front page news on every newspaper in America and that it would dominate the airwaves for months.

No reasonable person can ignore the main stream media's failure to adequately cover this story, and many stories like it. No reasonable person can look at this objectively and not see the bias of these media outlets.

This is why I listen to talk radio.

Of course the reaction would be front-page headlines. But ... if it were anyone killing a White, Christian Male, it would be buried on page 36.

My reason for listening to conservative talk radio as well, Rick. :)

The highlights of this thread:
Complains about the LIEberal media and their fascist/socialist/communist/marxist(it all means the same thing) agenda not covering this story.

References CNN link about this story.

FOX news and talk radio did not cover this.

Let the lulz continue

It must be hard going through life with blinders on - open your eyes man!

Fox did cover it. And the purpose of the thread is to enlighten people about the true motives and nature of those they look to for their worldview.

There are numerous posts about the bias of the Right, here is clear proof that it in fact the Left who is nearly always biased and deceptive. Stories that do not support the Leftists agenda are routinely omitted from most Left wing media.

Wake up people!!!!!!!!!

fact of the matter is, the coporate media hand picks and chooses

1. what they want us to believe

2. what they want us to disbelieve

3. what they want us to think is important (I.E. Michael Jacksons rediculous news coverage)

4. (the most important one) what they want us to fight and argue about

methods off mass manipulation...

I believe that the Honor Killing story is a very important story and should have been covered by all major news networks, but that doesn't make the idea of demonstrating violence against gays (especially gay Americans since it should be the land of the free [meaning you can sleep with any consenting adult no matter what sex they are]) ANY LESS important!
