Thanks @Growmau5 for the latest video, I'm strictly DWC but I find your vids instructive. It was great seeing how little difference the nutrients made. I've been introducing cheaper bulk powders the past couple months as my bottles get used up and have noticed no difference (if anything an improvement) ... 50lb bags of 20-20-20 and 0-52-34 (mono ptassium phosphate) a 25 lb bag of "Snow Joe" ice melt (calcium chloride) magnesium sulphate from wall mart. Several years of supply for less than $200. Next on the list is Rutland sodium silicate.

I've been using compost tees for almost a year now, but ordered the MammothP after seing what a difference it made on your run.

Anyway, have you decided on any future side-by-sides? I'd really like to see someone trustworthy do a side-by-side testing out Terpinator. Costa Mesa Steve said it made quite a difference (at fairly high dosages) but he hasn't been posting vids for some time.

Thanks again for all the time you put in.

ps. You've also got me shopping for a tankless water heater :) I'd really like to see how you hooked one up, also do you thinki there is any concern long-term with NOx?

Calcium CHLORIDE?!
SODIUM silicate?!

Dude, if you think these are acceptable plant nutrients, you need to do some more homework.

Just for openers, try calcium nitrate and potassium silicate.

I've done several months homework actually.

While calcium chloride sounds a bit scary, chloride is a micronutrient, and crops that are dificient do suffer. When you look outside of the mostly ridiculous marijuana nutrient market, you'll see that most calcium ammendments (including many organic ones) are made from a calcium chloride brine. I don't want to use calcium nitrate as you suggest as there will be times when I already have more than enough nitrogen.

As far as silicates go, potassium silicate takes a long long time to break down, which is why growers are increasingly on the lookout for silicic acid. Sodium silicate, when diluted enough. breaks down almost instantly and becomes sio4. At the rates I'll be applying it, my sodium shouldn't be over 15-20 ppm, which is nothing.

Educate yourself my man, instead of spreading Fear Uncertainty & Doubt :)

(just kidding, love your posts ttystikk)

I use calcium nitrate as part of my base nutes, and it works great.

I only use potassium silicate as a foliar, so I don't need to wait for it to break down.

I don't mind getting schooled. Beats tuition.

here is the PAR map for the Canopy10. as hard as I tried spread these cobs out, its still brightest in the center, but only 100µmol - ish. Im really happy with the config so far, its the most even canopy Ive ever had in this room. each of the 9 plant positions is receiving a very similar avg PPF. measurements taken at 18"

Thank you for all your hard work sir.

Build a soil now sells potassium silicate in flakes that are water soluble ie mixes instantly. I use it to water every other feeding with coconut extract and use the same for a foliar on those days and the girls are loving it.

I would like to deconstruct an old led from blackstar bc half of the lights burned out but they have 3 drivers but no information on the driver from what I saw. How would I find the specs

Hi guys, just wondering which is better to buy, the CXB3070 or the CXB3590? looking for a 5 cob setup for a 3x3. Is there a better COB available than the ones I mentioned?
also which kelvin would be best? thanks!

CXB 3590 is better. 3500k to keep it simple, if it's for flower only then I would say 90cri 3000

I have a couple 12 cob 3590 fixtures running at 1400 mah (50 watts each). I would like to replace my drivers for 1750 mah version, will the hlg 240 1750b run 4 36v 3590's? It shows the output voltage at 143 volts, that divided by 4 is 35.75, will this run 4 without issue or is 3 the limit?

thanks!
