Fuck Kush, it stinks...go for Big Bud, something that is dead easy to grow...thats what you need. Go for a very stable strain that is resilient to fuck ups! Big bud I reckon is the highest producing and most reactive strain I can think of...its been around for years.
I'm actually growing for personal medical use and walker kush is the only strain I've tried that helps with my condition, but I'll look into big bud and maybe I'll have to go with that if all else fails.

I'm gunna finish up this grow since I'm already more than halfway through he grow and I'd be happy even with just an ounce total. Then I'm gunna do some photoperiod seeds for sure. I'm gunna get some walker kush by rare dankness
Your doing fine, keep it up. You'll never learn if you don't complete the cycle.

Nice..good job. And yes trimming is a chore all in its own. Congrats you used your head and made it through, now on to drying and curing.

Thanks! And yup. My best guess would have to be 2-3oz which is better than I thought. I didn't remember to get a wet weight until after I hung them up, but one of the biggest buds weighed 45 grams which should be around 10g once dried. I'm really hoping there's no mold:(

The buds have been drying for 5 days now. I took a small bud that seemed dry enough, smoked some, and looked at it under my 60x microscope.

Does this look like powdery mildew to anyone?

The first pic is one of the few spots I found on the bud that had those hairs and the 2 after that are of the stem of the bud.

Got an ultraviolet black light and shined it on the biggest bud. No bright green which is a good sign. After removing the stems just one of the plants (quick one, the freebie seed) weighed 25 grams! I have it in a jar now with a hydrometer to see if it needs more drying or if it's ready for curing.

If your hygrometer goes over 70% just pour then out on newspaper for a few hours, then back in the jar to sweat. Wait 12 hours check your reading. Under 70% keep them in jars and adjust how long they're open according to humidity.

Sweating the buds is and important part of the cure process. The entire cure in a nutshell is a slow sweat of moisture from the inside of the buds to the outside until you reach 60%-55% or wherever you want to smoke them at.

That's really good to know thanks

That explains why the buds are so dry on the outside, but the stems still seem to have moisture in them.

I can't make out mold, hard to tell from the pic. Is there a reason you're worried about mold?
Yeah it's just my phone camera held up to a cheap pocket microscope so not the best quality. The reason I'm worried is the smell of the buds. They smell a little musty and sour to me whereas before they smelled amazing

Keep an eye on them, it seems to me that a lot times when mold/bud rot is present it will show on the bottom of buds first. Where it was actually touching other buds on the plant. Brownish/whiteish looking growth.
