Ive noticed these dumb little white-ish almost bone color insects living in the cracks, viens, and crevices, on the leaves of my plants. especially towards the nodes or where the blades come out of the stems. they are no bigger than maybe 4-5 mm, and ive looked up ALOT of bugs and helped a ton of other people b4, ive never had an issue w/ bugs. strains like my Crimea Blue are especially vulnerable tho because of the leaf shape, the bugs get deep into the cracks of the leaf where the veins run thru. I can kill the damn things with my fingers but its tedious as hell. plus sometimes they can kinda run aways on ya, or jump or something kinda... not very much or very far tho... at first i could just keep them under control i thought. but i noticed im getting spots and and stuff on leaves from where these little bugs are sucking out the sap or something. its killing my crimea blue all of a sudden i think. i rinsed the little plant off with warm water and seperated it for a while. i did manage to get the bugs off of that one... but how do i get rid of these things? i really dont know what the hell they are, but i read a very small thing in a magazine just now about "mealy bugs" and it REALLY sounds like what i have. they didnt say what u can use, they said possibly lady bugs but that they werent sure. ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO DO HERE? im almost positive they are mealy bugs.

PLUS!!! do they like to get into buds too? i dont think they do, it seems like the resin would deter them... but i wanna make sure i dont end up with them in my buds at all. they are mostly all on my Veg plants, and some of my flowering plants are now showing the damage they must have gotten in veg, but i cant find bugs on them.

omg this sux so bad.... ive been growing with CFL's for years, and just got my 600w hps goin, now this happens a few days later!! ARRGHH!!

sounds like mites bro a pic would clear it up. neem or alc/water should do it. Hard to get rid off easier to control til end of grow then clean room up with bleach EVERYTHING!!!

actually i just measured one of the biggest ones, THEY ARE ONLY ABOUT 2 MM at the MAX, bone colored almost look like little teeny tiny maggots. but they can move too fast, and some of them can kinda jump like a flea or something. but i dont see ANY web, NO mites, no eggs... only other thing i can find is a couple fungus gnats in my flower room... nothing bad at all tho. they arent in my dirt that can see at all, the gnats or the mystery bugs.

AT first these mystery bugs didnt seem to be doing any damage, but now i realise they are making little spots on the leaves where they must be sucking the sap. it just takes a while for the damage to be noticable...

i killed one that was on a leaf, and u could see where it was sucking the leaf. they appear to be VERY small mealy bugs. how the heck can i get rid of them? the ones i can see and get to i can kill with my fingers. i have seen a couple that have a yellow-green color to them as well. most of them are a bone white color tho. i just hope they dont get worse and once these plants are gone i can clean the space out really good. that hopefully will end them, but i have a veg room that im concerned about... how the heck do u get rid of a little 1.5mm x 0.5mm bug?

yeah im gonna wash the leaves on all my plants in my veg room and seperate them out of the room. then im gonna clean the room out real good.

i plan on using the Method brand dish soap i have, its a "top shelf" soap like dawn, only more $$. im gonna put some soap on a paper towel and get it nice and we twith warm water and wash off all the leaves and plant thouroughly. ill leave that sitting for about 60 secs and rinse them off good with warm water, trying not to get soap into the dirt seems like that should be helpful without having to get rid of all my plants...

thanks for the suggestion!

thats good to hear... i dont like the way that they suck the sap on my leaves. it took me forever to indentify these bastards. i think im gonna invest insome decent soft soap stuff or insecticide. im also starting to wonder if i should suspect my FOFF for having this pest in it?

Invest in a product with Spinosad. It is non-toxic, not a chem, it's a bacteria that only hurts bugs. It works very effectively for thrips and will leave a much milder residue then any pesticide.

FFOF is known for Fungas gnats (all soils seem to get these since they are all shipped by the same distributor and tons of cross contamination occurs) and thrips. Never heard of mites, white flys, or any other pests being inside the bag tho. The gnats are the worst part imo.
