A few people have wanted to talk about meanwell software dimming. http://www.meanwell.co/assets/data/SDP-001.pdf
If you have specific questions ask them here and if I have made a mistake please speak up. I will upload pics of my setup once it is complete, but we can talk about it for now.

This dimming is not for on the spot dimming it is to run a set schedule ie sunrise and sunset dimming.

There is a few limitations to the driver
1. Only a max of 5 dimming steps
2. Dimming is from 10% to 100% the software can not dim to off
3. If power loss to driver program starts over does not pick up where it left off

When you order the driver with built in dimming make sure to order a "mini b" usb cable

Adjustable maximum output (AOC) OFF since we want to automatically dim the drivers.
Constant light output (CLO) OFF
Dimming profile this is where we will spend most of the time
Adaptive proportion profile only 14 hour profile good for flower only
Midpoint-set Profile good if you want to setup and use the lunar calendar
Fixed Dimming Profile 24 hour set time
This is what my veg profile looks like
fixed profile.png
Lights come on at 30% after 90 min it will increase to 70% power then after being on for 3 hours it is at 100% power and will stay there until 15 hours then the driver will dim down to 70% power and then 16.5 hours its at 30% power The power is hard wired to a timer and that will turn the drivers on at 6am and off at 6pm for flower and midnight for veg.

Override Off we want to dim the driver
Fade time the transition between dimming levels my fade time is set to 120 seconds

Dimming Profile DEMO Test the settings or profile you have setup.
Once you have a program set save it and then just upload it to 1 or 100 drivers they will all run that program
I have 2 one for flower and one for veg

Hey, I just get my key drivers and smart dimmers. I downloaded the software and create my dimming profile. But uploading it to the dimmers fails. The Programm says “connection error” in the end. I tried it with 3 different versions of windows 7, 8.1 & 10 ... any idea what I can try now...??? Thanks for your help

I wanted to ask cause I couldn't find anywhere. Does the dimmer(sdp-0001) have to stay connected to the LED driver all the time or it "uploads" data to the driver itself (ELG series).
In other words, do I need one dimmer for each driver or one dimmer for many drivers?

I would like fluid dimming to prolong daily-light (add a lot in early morning, slowly less, nearly0 or 0 at 10-14 and slowly more towards evening). Cause midday a lot of light from outside (and I mean, a LOT)
