A good read indeed. Let's see if some of these idiot precincts get the message after the cities get sued enough times. Less money for the city= less money for the cops. Figure it out morons!
Glad to see Rob Corry win one, seems he has had his back to the wall lately.

The whole landscape is going to change in a couple of weeks. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Seems like alot of growers are already planning to go back underground with their grows since they are being forced out of the mainstream without ownership in dispensaries. I would just like to say to all of you out there keep doing what your doing and keep helping those in need whatever the cost !!!. I understand its difficult without financial backing but it would be great if all the growers that are being pushed out could all get together and have one voice that could be heard and respected...(2cents)

Det. Shannon Lucy, an Aurora police spokesperson, illustrated her department's cultivation ignorance, explaining that they kept only the leaves, which she called the "only thing of value," not the buds in which most of the active ingredient, THC, resides.
Ignorance...

edit: OMG!

Aurora Police Chief Daniel J. Oates, called that sum "absurd" and disputed the quantity of marijuana seized.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA how does it feel motherfucker!

You know how the cops always claim a ridiculous value on the cannabis that they sieze, well the tables have turned asshole!

lol for real how bout we take our biggest plant and throw it on a scale pot+soil and all freshly watered and we call that 30lbs of pot street value $100,000 per plant ..Im sure thats what they have done when they busted people in the past lmao...oh how the tables have turned..so whats his argument that they should only count the leaves?

i love how hes using the dea estimate for his lost crop estimate! thats "payback"!! and the part about how cops have to enforce the law, they cant pick and choose which ones they want to follow! this is gonna be classic stuff in the pothead community!!!

I remember when this happened , it was in Hightimes magazine not long after he was raided. I've tried to search the Internet for his law suit, I'm dying to know if his law suit is still in process. I'm sure they are stonewalling and appealing it, just to drag it out purposely to cost him more legal fees. Or they could've offered him a pissy ass paltry amount to settle, and he could've taken it for all I know. This much would be wise, if he was awarded $300,000+ for his loss, and I was him, I'd move my ass out of the Aurora city limits and get out of that jurisdiction. Many Attorneys will tell a client that wins a major lawsuit against a shady police dept. to move out of their jurisdiction because they often come back to harass, intimidate , and even plant stuff on to "get back" at the innocent citizen for fighting them and winning. I believe we will see another 1776 style revolution before 2020, because shit like this is getting wide spread and in the news constantly.

I was busted several years ago for "manufacturing with intent to distribute". The "crop" that I had going was 7 seedlings that had just popped. They were so tiny that they couldn't even get a weight on them. They also pulled up a small avocado tree that they said "looked suspicious". Had I known what I know now, they probably wouldn't have been able to victimize me. They valued my plants at $1000 each by the way, and with lawyer's costs, fines, and probation fees it cost me over $10000! This was in Arkansas if anyone is curious, about 12 years ago. It makes me smile when I hear about the cops getting a taste of their own medicine! Thanks for sharing!

Good for Corry, man. It's ridiculous how corrupt this system is, and how stupid some people can be (i.e. saying that the leaves are the only part of the plant that matter).
Agreed with i think everyone here in that it's about time the DEA and our 'local law enforcement' get a taste of their own gayness...even though all they'll do is push more money out of our (the taxpayers) pockets in order to keep the po-po in business...cus thats what it is: a business

Haha ....

I love it! After the "Blair" (Utah) shooting this is great news. Maybe the human life factor isn't enough to stop
cops from kicking in doors and killing folks only to find their mistakes later. Oh and the brainiack that feels his
officers acted responsibly is a dolt. He has a "judgment" ($360k) to prove it. Sure guys go on out there and
cost the taxpayers hundreds of thousands $ and possibly a life or two ..... Geeesh .... ?

Oh and does this mean I've been cultivating the wrong part of my plants? LOL ..... leaf! I love it.
