Ya, but you might get troubles such as heat and the light being too intensed. I tried with one and it worked, but I lost a lot due to previous errors. I think you should get some fluorescents first, but if you do decide to use that 400MH lamp. Keep it far away...make some kind of dome for the seedlings to hold moisture...and the biggest problem I had was over watering/ under watering.

Oh and be careful, that MH will increase the temperature hella!

fatblunt, you may want to use the cfl for like a week before you switch to the MH. you can use the MH but you will see alot of stretching in the plant. with the cfl, you can promote close nodal spacing for a more fat tree as opposed to a long and skinny one. one maybe 2 cfl's depending on the amount of trees you are growing sould be fine then use them in your house afterwards to cut down on your electric bill. hope this helps you. gl on your grow and keep us posted.

I have 2 Grapefruit seeds that I got from a Fem only seeds pack. So i will only have two plants if the both germ in my grow box. What kind and how many CFL should I get?

a 42 watt cfl should do the trick and you should have extra lumens left. the light costs around $8-9 USD, and will work in any standard fixture in your house. PEACE!

Like all meat said. 1-2 weeks the move to mh. Not too close at first. But once they are used to it you can prolly drop the light down to a foot away.
