Haven't tried cutting and regrowing. Could try it. I agree with the panda film, when I built it I only had silver paint and that silver stuff. If I'm ever in a grow store I'll pick some up.

A little more action, my longest plant so far, it has been in flower since Thanksgiving! Finally last week it started turning brown and now if you look hard I think some trichs are starting to amber. This took so long, I hope it's good. It was also my first and probably last attempt at supercropping (crushed stem a little and bent it). I'll post again when I decide to cut it.IMG_20160128_095725_305.jpg IMG_20160128_095700_254.jpg IMG_20160128_095717_844.jpg

Man I can't hardly wait for this party cup competition, it's pretty much how I am set up already! Would be sweet to score some good seeds out of the deal.

Right man, pretty soon I plan to upgrade to cobs and my grow area is totally adjustable vertically so that should be interesting. I'm just going to need some help with which COBs to get for the right penetration and which drivers and power sources to get. All in due time though, all in due time.

I've got a space close to around your size. I've been looking at vero 13's. I read somewhere that ran @500ma you can get as close as 2-3" from the top of the plants. Also
Vero 18's if you wanted less cobs to mess with but you'd need to keep them back a little more.(@1050ma)

Been looking at running a single Cree 50 watt, if I really like it I could run two of them. That would really allow me to raise the ceiling.

So after the cup competition, I'm seriously thinking about trying out this light, so cheap, light, reflector, heat sink, and driver, built into one! Designed for passive cooling from the beginning, but it is just so affordable it's worth trying for a while. Screenshot_2016-02-04-19-00-17.pngthen I found this sweet fan setup with adjustable thermal controller and 25" lead built right in! Just cut a hole and bolt in, so easy. I'll get this fan no matter what here probably shortly. Screenshot_2016-02-04-19-05-55.png

I'm using a 30watt lamp bulb to grow a single auto flower plant, opinions? It's 2 days into sprouting and the tiniest stalk has popped from the soil. And tips would be great to get it growing stronger or healthier?

It's OK. To get it strong you'll have to keep the light extremely close and have a fan blowing making it move slightly. If I was you I would strengthen it for a week maybe, then replant it deep so your bottom leaves are only an inch above the soil. Then keep the light as close as you can with out burning it and get a small fan for it. Just what I would try to do. It is an auto flower so you don't have much time but you should be alright. You can't expect very much yield with this small of light, just to let you know.

Thankyou for the reply, that's some great advice and I sure will act upon it, I am expecting 10-12 gram at most and that's being very optimistic! Thanks again Beeswings

Well I ordered a new 100w led light to experiment with so that means that this threads days are numbered. I'll start a new thread after I install the new light.

Another secret I found out, which may be specific to my exact conditions, I'm not really sure, I don't really use 12-12. After days scouring the interweb I started using 13-11, got lots of hermies and plants took 21 to 28 days to show sex from germination. I knew there had to be a better way. After more searching I learned that 11:15-12:45 (if I can remember where I found this I will post it) is actually ideal. After switching to this light cycle I got 50 % less hermies from bag seed and good seed and also sex showing around 14 days, no later than 21 days. Then my sweet digital timer failed out on me and now I'm running my back up which only works in 30 minute increments so now I run 11:30 on, 12:30 off with pretty good results.

After 45 days of flower u should switch to 12/12, flowers get fatter and helps bud ready for harvest.
