Mike Huntherz Presents: The Perpetual Variety Good Time Grow Show!

I just bought HSO's Chemdawg. I thought it was their Chem 4, but this one is the Sativa dominant strain, so it's either Chem D or Chem '91. (They only have those three: "Humboldt seeds is proud to present our Chem#4. This along with our Chem ’91 and the Chem D have their own unique traits. The Chem#4 has rapid vegetative growth with the expressions leaning towards the sativa parentage. Known for vigorous foliage development and deep forest green hues, the infrastructure is supported by long inter-nodal spacing. Though tall and lanky in stature, Chemdawg remains indica dominant.")

So you would recommend defoliating fan leaves?
I just thin the fan leaves every day to three days a few at a time starting after I top them and they start to spread out, usually week three of veg. I prune fan leaves that cover flower sites and anything beneath the canopy, trying to get an even single layer canopy all the way across. I stop pruning more or less completely as they are going into week 4 of 12/12. Here is that plant before I stripped her down for chop, same day...but with all the fan leaves still on.

Obviously the canopy is never going to be perfectly flat, but you just push them that direction rather than letting them go wild.

I also pulled off the flower sites that had no chance of making it to the top, as early as possible. More crop up through the first weeks of flower, but I just kept clipping them off, after week three they stop trying so hard to throw flowers down low. Happy as I can be with how these turned out. Blue dream and honey bananas pics coming soon.

Honey Bananas pics from a few days ago.
She is in jars, looks like maybe 2.5-3 but I haven't checked yet. Beautiful nugs, very colorful.

How do u like em? I've only ever used em to rehydrate I feel like if used whole cure weed tastes weird
I have had good luck with the Boveda packs, I don't always use them, but they sometimes stay in the jar for a couple weeks. I have a very ...touchy palate, smells and flavors are pretty intense for me, my sensitivity that way drives my gf up a fucking wall, but I don't taste any difference using them vs not. I also only use them twice then replace them.

@Afgan King I would love to have some more badass genetics. I just got a cut of Bruce Banner from an old neighbor, but getting them into Mordor seems sketchy. I don't know, if you have any ideas PM me. I'd love to get a couple more great lines. I'll be running the Bruce Banner after I flower all the beans I popped. Also got some beans from @shorelineOG that I'll be running at that point, there could be a winner in there. I really appreciate the offer, man.

Three plants in 5 gallons of soil under a 600W light, in a one meter tent. I'm definitely OK with these results. Mostly this grow was an exercise in training and pruning, keeping them short. I might try doing 9 x 2-gallon pots with Tupur and Blumat drippers, because I think I could really max out my yield for this setup that way. I'd love to do vert, but that will happen when I buy a home, hopefully this year.

I'm thinking I might get a large Adjust-A-Wing, replace the current bulb with a new EyeHortilux or DigiMax, maybe a get a Phantom II ballast, but ...I really want some CXB3590s, I just can't drop $1k on it right now. I bought some once then ended up flipping them, just the COBs, never had all the stuff for a build. I regret selling them, now.

I'll be going back to the Blumat drippers when I switch to Tupur, the growth with them was outstanding, hand watering was nowhere near the same.

All the Shoreline Genetics seeds popped, looking good.

I just got a seed order from The Dank Team
7x Feminized Medical Glue from Sin City (actually 8 beans in there, woohoo!)
10x Reg Huckleberry DesTar from Dynasty

and they sent some dank-ass freebies like In House Double Rainbow! Sweetness.

That's an interesting BD pheno, I've never had one foxtail like that.

How's the Cherry Bomb going? I too got a freebie of it and am curious if it's a keeper or not.
She smells extremely sweet and is almost done, very nice trichs, I think it will be good. I didn't get a cutting of the Cherry Bomb, and keeper is pretty subjective, but I would say she's a solid maybe.

The foxtailed one is the Honey Banana, but the BD has been smoking great, and I am really glad I kept a mom of that one. It is the most Sativa-like example I have seen from HSO BD.
