MiNi red party cup challenge ?

I think everyone's going to pass me. lol. Went from shit to a good 2 week run. Now she's back to looking sickly.

Might have to try 150% recommended nutes soon. I am using organic nutes in pure coco with added calmag. I have a feeling the wicks aren't pulling enough nutes with the water. There's also a very high probability that I am entirely wrong. lol

She ain't dead yet though! :bigjoint:

Have you watered her at all in the conventional sense or all from the wick system??

Mines took a tumble twice now, mixed 1/4 str grow in and just a little from the top and a little from bottom, trying to just keep her moist and leave her be.

If she dies she dies :P hopefully not though as I wouldn't mind the win but can't see it with how she looks compared to the others so far lol

Yeah when I swap out the nutes in the bowl 2x/day I also feed the cup to about 50% runoff before adding to the bowl. I have a 5 day weekend so I'm going to experiment leaving the bowl empty and water her like 6 times/day.

I didn't even expect to make it this far so it's all good from here on. lol

I'm not really having to water that much, mainly because I'm throwing 100-200 ml on her everything I do lol theoretically in a 55ml pot it's like being flushed everytime with a touch of nutes :P

the stretch on mine is whats making life harder on me and her, no side shoots to sprout out yet just few fan leaf and pistols on top, lol

Hahaha yours has a good size to her for such a small cup she just looks hungry! I wish mine stretched a bit more but oh well, I water once a day with the leftovers of what I water my other plants with so they are getting full strength nutes now and seem to be liking it and the cobs.. I think im finally getting control over em, I'm scared to see how far behind I am when other people update

So these cups have given me an idea... I would love to start doing some of my own seed making but on a way small scale since I don't have the room or time to do the awesomeness that @HighLowGrow @bf80255 do.
Would it be worth throwing down 5-10 beans in these tiny cups and putting them to seed?? I just want to get an idea of what crossing and breeding is like. It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo freakin interesting!!!

I plan to some crosses and seed making after I get a couple grows finished. If for nothing else but some free seeds.

Something tells me a regular solo cup or something a little larger would be better for this. I'm saving up plastic coffee cans myself.

I'd be nervous they could pick up some bad habits from being grown in such a small space like this. Not sure how the whole genetics thing goes though.
That's the one thing I was wondering if they'd get used to it and it hold em back some, I'll prolly end up trying eventually with seeds I don't care about. I have the lights and space and I wish I could go ham and and just start but it's too sketchy to have that many plants where I am at right now...:(

Not 100% sure, but I don't think they pick up "bad habits" like that. At the minimum I would use a standard red cup. Go to Amazon and buy some TMist for $20 or make your own CS.

It sure is gratifying making your own seeds. Oh, and it's nice that each seed costs you pennies.

If you sprayed an auto and let it pollinate itself, what sort of seeds is it going to produce with regards to the original seed you started with and the plant that came from it??
