Miniature Seedling/Clone Cooler

As per most projects that I undertake, they were inspired out of boredom and the need to tinker with shit.

So I got stoned, and dug around in my random box o junk, and came out with a working battery-operated 8-watt T5 light, an old 9.6V guitar pedal power transformer, and a styrofoam box. After a short bit of Dremel action and a bit of knifework on the styrofoam box, I made a rudimentary box for rooting clones and starting seedlings.

6500K F8T5/D bulb. 75 CRI, unknown PAR/PUR, 400 initial lumens and about 550 after warm-up. Tube generates practically nil heat, plants could touch it without being hurt. All that's left is maybe extending some of the wires so the transformer can be mounted externally, and then making breather holes.

total cost, maybe 15 bux. prolly do about 6 seedlings/clones max. Total power consumption 10 watts.

Not bad, eh? make a micro CO2 generator from a spice jar, water, sugar, and yeast, and you'd be set.

looks great but only 500 lumens will be lacking for plants.
Don't need much for seedlings or rooting clones, though. Quality of light over quantity for beginning plants. They'll get moved to a larger box when the time comes, with 4x the light, after sprouting/rooting. Once they graduate from that, they go under serious light.
