I found some food for Tomatoes at Home Depot, Miracle-Grow 18-18-21. I have never used Miracle-Gro for my plants. I don't live near any hydroponics stores, so... I kind of have to use Miracle-Gro.

:(

Would this work for vegging?
Or Flowering?
Should I try another product?

Step away from the ferts....first what stage are they at? and don't use anything that high in numbers!!!!
If veging use a 12-3-6 or some thing like that when flowering use the 6-12-12 tomato as per directions, after one month repeat. Grab a bag of compost, cow, sheep sea mix what ever and toss some in also.

They are Vegging. About 12-13in.
And I have given plants in the past 20-20-20 in veg and it was A OK. Are you saying use low fert cause they are soil? IDK what the soil is, I don't have any meters.. I'm starting from scratch with nothing!
I have been shopping at HomeDepot/Lowes type stores... And I'm kind of worried about what to get. I used to go to hydro stores and get Advanced Nutes/ General Hydro.... I really wish Garden Stores would carry those!
Any suggestions there? And most important, is there anything from Miracle-Gro that is somewhat decent?
(I REALLY don't like MG, it just seems like my only option... )

i'm using mg fertilizers for the first time. i used the mg potting soil mix that feeds up to 6 months. they started showing magnesium deficiency about 3 weeks into vegging so i added 2 teaspoons of epsom salt mixed in a gallon of water along with the all purpose mg fertilizer mixed at 1/4 strength. the plants just got put in the flowering room and they got fed mg blossom nutes mixed at half recomended dosing. the plants are looking good and healthy, you just need to learn what your plants need and when. i've used the fox farms, general hydroponics, and the canna line up and i kind of feel like a sucker for over paying for nutrients.

Good shit Kev! You just reminded me that I should get some epsom salt!!

So out of the MG lineup, which would you suggest for vegging and flower? Would the All purpose work well for both??

No, no, no...

Miracle Grow is crap for growing MJ. I think I've said this like a million times on the boards, but it's true. That stuff is just for growing tomatoes, which you're not, or for growing things that are supposed to look pretty.

I guess if you just want your plants to look nice, that makes sense.

But me, I want plants that are going to grow big and tall and tasty. I want plants that will give me a good buzz at the end of the day. I don't trust a nutrient that's not specifically designed for MJ. That's why I use Advanced Nutrients. And there are plenty of other nutrients you can choose that work better for MJ grows.

Yes, you can look at the label and see similarities with nutes, but they're NOT the same. The price tag might be lower, but so's the quality.

You can order nutes online, why not do that if you're not around a hydro store?

GO CHEAP OR GO HOME!

Ever strain is goin to require a diff amount of nutrients depending on how far away from the equator it's lineage originated from, etc.

Experiment bro! and let us know what you find out. Just don't over nute your plants, if they don't burn then growing will be SLOW

thanks, sometimes miracle grow gets a bad rap from operator error. yes there are other better nutes available suited more toward mj plants, but it still works and can be done with it.

I use Miracle grow All purpose plant food, water soluble. 24-8-16 for veg. works great!
Use MG bloom booster for flower 15-30-15.

those plants in the pics look rough. way too much fert bro, back off a ton. you should get an EC meter. miracle gro works fine, but you need to add cal mag and a little sugar daddy as well. ph about 5.9 and a 1.8 EC. water every other time basically.

that would beok for veging, I use 20-20-20 myself and 15-30-15 for flowering.
Anyone who tells you you have to use speacialty nutes is an amateur gardener.
Use sparingly though, a teaspoon per gallon of water max.

Exact same here and like everyone says just take it easy and watch your plant, If she doesnt like it she will let you know. So many people rage on MG cause it was what they used on their first time, fucked up their plant and have swore it off forever. More MG <3
