Misting plants= intensifying light?

I like your criticism. I would almost say I agree, but you said "this is still going on??". Correct me if I am wrong, but the reason to have a web forum to discuss topics is to learn more from each other. So by adding the second hand account of your grandpa's wisdom; what does this add to this discussion? We are here talking about specific problems and asking others for specific solutions.
You see, I will pick apart your post, but it has nothing to do with rednecks, it's just I want you to understand why we are here.:blsmoke:

Ya i skipped to after all the back and forth...

Any way like someone in here said already the natural mist in the morning does not hurt the plants because the sun is not intense enough to do damage through the water droplets (little magnifying glasses)...

It will usually dry up by the time the sun gets hot enough to burn through the beads of water...

If you have ever grown outdoor flowers or worked in a garden shop you know that it is a no no to water flowers in the afternoon unless you do direct soil watering... Because it will leave BIG drops of water (mag glasses) on your flowers and will most likely burn spots in them...

Misting (on a limb) in my opinion is different in the fact that the droplets are very tiny and have less of a magnifing effect... This does not apply if you over do it or your light is too intense, close or hot...

Any way thats just an opinion so ill leave it at that...

Ah ya i like that record... Turn it up... Ahhh comfy... Pass Pass Puff Puff...

No good smily for microdot... =P

It would burn the plants?

That just seems a little weird, in nature they'd have a light dew on them every morning. Would the plants burn outdoors?

Has anyone personally had their plant leaves get burned just because of misting the leaves?
When I first got my HPS I didnt realize that misting my plants with the lights on would burn them, and yes it does burn them. I could be wrong, correct me if I am, but when you are flowering there is no need in misting the plants. Excess water can lead to bud rot if your humidity isnt in check.

hey folks Foliar feeding is of preference. It is said that when spraying the leaves, the plant feels "cooled" and will not produce its sweat (resins). However,i have been misting/foliar feeding all the way thru my grow, even in early flower. Some say dont spray the buds cuz it will cause mold,..but i find that when i spray, with a fan on them ,..that they droop right after the spray, but perk up as they dry,..and they dry within 15 mins.
As mentioned above, i feel it cleeans off the leaves.

I can appreciate that for sure. Like you said basically to each their own. I truly believe there is no definite way to grow the herb.

Shitting on your plants will only make them stink then die,you have to break down your own shit properly in a compost bin with your own piss and various vegetable matter and dead tree leaf if you want to do that and it takes almost 2 years to be properly ready, and yes i do know people who have done that.
I never spray during veg or flowering and i would recommend not doing it but the choice is always yours:blsmoke:
Never sprayed.

We all know you used your fecal matter to produce that killer alien nugget... Its ok you dont have to be shy...

And dont hide your secret urine spray misting methods from us either bub... =]

All joking aside... Nice... Lovely even... =]

I dont think you could make that look any nicer even if you did just sprits it up a little only for the pohoto... Witch is probly what most of those pics you see are...

Spraying down a produce shot (vege, fruit) is a very old photographer trick... So is pouring a bowl of GLUE instead of milk to put cereal in for photo enhancement and crunchy looking cereal...

But im sure no one eats like that unless they are daft...

Any way some plants prefer or even need to be sprayed... And my guess is that even SOME strains will prefer damper environments... Is spraying the answer... ?? Duno... If it works for you GO RIGHT AHEAD... If it does not... You do the math... =]

Was he trying to say he think you misted the plant before the shot or edited it?

Wow people come on....Listen fact is....MISTING HAS NO PROVEN BENEFITS UNLESS YOUR FOLIAR FEEDING....buuut if you ARE giving nutes properly you shouldnt even need to foliar feed.

Also you could clean your plants of with water but in that case you dont want to mist because the dirt will just sit on your leaves...Instead they need to be rinsed by thicker water droplets that will run off of the leaves and cleanse them, Still this is Not necessary.

You could have a VERY low humidity and have to mist but this is very uncommon and I believe the opposite is usually true in most grow rooms.

Anyways I am getting tired...smoked to much :blsmoke::peace:

Mist away to many paranoid people out there... If you get a sun shower outside in the middle of a hot day do you see plants getting wiped out? Wouldn't mist in flowering but veg is good once in a while keep a fan going they will dry.
