Whats the deal with smoking spider mites lol all they eat is cloriphyll the green shit in the leaves and after a good cure that breaks down then all you got is the mites outer shell presuming he doesn't crawl away as it drys I dab all that shit u can't tell but I've notice the mites will infest the leaves and tend to stay away from the trichomb rich areas of bud lady bird beatles are as expensive as chemicals and will usually only control the problem but only with repeated release chemicals are about as effective as the lady birds every time I stop spraying they xcome back and this is because the entire issue is environment related do enough research and find out there are many species of spider mites and all prefer a different climate so Imo the best but most costly route would be to get total environmental control and tune it to rid your self of the mites but in the mean time spray what you can and and never spray flowers only use preditory insects to control the problem Ive used them to save a few crops
There is not justification for that disgusting crap.

You are an idiot. A gentle wash with mild peroxide or citric acid does a great job removing foreign particles.
FYI: Bugs, dust, and mold/mildew spores, etc. are everywhere outdoors.

Sorry dude I grow indoor Hydro and it is steril in there. If I saw bugs on my plants they would get chopped because that shit is disgusting

I remember when I was days away from the chop, and infested with mites. Not wanting to use chemicals I used straight water with just the smallest drop of dish soap to break surface tension. Mites do not like water. This will keep them down enough to keep the plant alive and allow your seeds to survive I think.
I did the same when I had mites, though I used some kind of organic soap, I think it was coconut. I also mixed in a tablespoon of ground cayenne pepper (which by the way clogged up my spray bottle, so you have to strain it really well). Whether it was the soap or the pepper or both, it killed the mites.

I'm not sure if you were implying that Forbid 4F and Spinosad have anything in common?
Forbid 4F active ingredient is Spiromesifen. It's a synthetic miticide and it's brutal towards the little ole spider mite. It works 100% percent of the time, usually after a 2nd application.
I used it to kill mites that had been plaguing me for over a year.
I was out of options, but I would never suggest it if you can rid the mites through other more holistic methods.
I have since switched my strains since applying and have zero residuals to worry about smoking.

Translation may be required.

It'll kill thirps....

And holy shit. I've been buying it for the dogs. I wondered what the hell it was.

Trade names include Comfortis and Trifexis (which also includes milbemycin oxime) (both brands treat adult fleas on pets; the latter also prevents heartworm disease), and Natroba (for human head lice). It is commonly used to kill thrips.[9][10][11]
Again, spinosad is not a cure all. I know from experience. In fact, I'm pretty sure the mites in my tent right now are either immune or just inconvenienced by spinosad. I've given them many foliar applications and three soil drenches -- full strength. I decided to back off with the spraying since I'm getting close to the chop, and BOOM -- I opened the tent last night when the lights came on and several buds were fully engulfed in webbing. Fuck fuck fuckity fuck! So I snipped all of those buds & tossed them, then had to decide if I want to try a new remedy that was highly recommended by a couple of local growers, or chop now. I decided to try the remedy because I know that chopping early will definitely reduce quality, but the remedy may or may not.
One thing is for sure: If I see more mite "blooms" tonight, I'm gonna chop. Already threw away a half zip, and it broke my heart. Those buds would have been dank. Nice & solid... :-(

The last break out on mine was thirps at around 3 1/2 weeks veg. Went to sleep with pretty plants. Woke up to dots all over the place. Seriously fuckedupness. Best looking leaves too. I used Pyrethrin. I'm all about using organic remedies. I've made just about concoction. Neem, pepper, peppermint, oil, soap, BTI...

They were dead in a day using an evil pesticide. No long treatment plan. Having to apply it every week. No one treatment to kill the larva. Another to kill adults.

I've had the battle with fungus gnats. Got real tired of fucking with those too. Not no more. I use a Solo brand pressure sprayer. Has a nozzle you can point down or up. With a plastic bell looking cover around the nozzle so the spray doesn't go all over the place.

Yeah, I also had thrips this run. Little fuckers just gnaw on the surface of the leaves and leave tiny black turds everywhere. They hide under the leaves and on stems. Spinosad kills the shit out of thrips, but you've gotta be consistent with your spraying or it won't completely eliminate them. From what they said on the wiki link, spinosad is most effective against larvae -- not so much for adults. Still works, but not as well.

I have two weeks to go on flower. With one female ripening early. After they're cut and dried in the cabinet. It's getting sterilized. Ill clean every thing with some watered down bleach. Might be some hiding bugs.

Let them hide. When the plants are out the cabinet. It's on.

those tents are nifty for veg., yet make garden access difficult. guess i prefer actual flowroom w isle ways, makes for ez foliar spray and visual inspections. plus dead zone corners, less air circ in tents can make buggr habitat.

chunky, this far into flower...

there's not much you can do but use water foliar to interrupt the mites progress and wipe any nu webbing daily. flowering plants, with sprays u don't want to soak buds, so it can't be ultra effective. webbing? hobble along, no more nutes, cut early!

iknow the growshos vend bunches of this mighty wash, it's charged water or some benign bs. good lu k man

We shall see what happens tonight. Pretty sure this stuff will work, the real question is whether or not it will rinse off when I chop. It also contains some alcohol as an emulsifier, which might "melt" some trics. Not really sure what to expect...
