Hey all, I'm starting a mini sog in liter containers, and would like to know how to mix my soil. I don't know how to mix it for the specific ratio. I am also not sure of what to mix to make my soil. I know I want Perlite and Vermiculite but I'm not sure what else to add. Please help me to find out what else I can add. I will be doing submerge watering if that helps. Thanks guys.

Banana peels, worm castings, garden lime (for ph balance) there's alot you can add.
Just search the threds for more.
I use roughly a cup of perlite per gallon pot, and a half cup of verm.
I have huge pines in my yard and the dirt under those things is amazing!!!
I just add a lil perlite and that's good to go. Nothing else need really the
soil is so rich on it's own.
Feed the soil and the soil will feed the plant.

Thanks for the reply, just looking for something a bit more descriptive. Threads are only getting me so far, I would rather ask more personal questions instead of cross referencing other out of date posts.:eyesmoke:

I'm interested in this as well. I would like to mix my soil in bulk, 50 gallon bin or something similar. Premix organic soil is too expensive for me to purchase in bulk. Unless I'm looking in the wrong places =)

Buy a soil mix...

There are many different kinds of soil mixes out there and they are very cheap. They already have everything you need in them already. ;)
