MO's, DHN, SCM Girls Scout Cookie cuts........

Had to start my own thread about this to get more feedback.....was wondering if anyone ever encountered a strain that veg'd as slow as these cuts...It seems impossible to mother these cuts out...Is this normal for this strain or just the cuts from these 3 vendors.....almost like they got hit with Bushmaster before they hit the club shelves.....they are growing slower than anything i've EVER seen......thnx in advance......

I've got Mo's cut finishing up right now. It's not the strongest, best tasting, best yielding, or best buds. But it very well might be the best combination of all of those things. I've got stronger and better smelling cuts, but the buds are way more fluffy and the node spacing is farther apart, making Mo's a better yielder with better looking buds. I've got cuts that are yielding better, but with far less resin production and slightly less smell.

It really depends what you're going for, but I think it might be the best cut. The only drawback is the veg time. It's ridiculously slow. I'm going to give it a try indoors. If I can't veg them out in a reasonable amount of time that's going to be a deal breaker for me. In that case I'll just run the lower yielding stronger cut I have.

I'm one step ahead of you there. Already made the seeds. They should be ready in a week or two.

Also, MF (midnight farms) has a GSC cutting going around now.
Dan what do you think I should be expecting in 3g pots under a 600w? as far as cookie strains go...mine stretched to all hell and is leggy as shit. They didnt do shit in veg and when i flipped to 12/12 it was just stretch city. Definitely like to see cherry pie x gsc ;)

Curious to know what kind of yield you get off the MO's cut Dan-O thinks for posting........
I'm liking mo's cut more and more as it gets closer to finishing. The buds are really swelling up and looking nice. Color is very good, maybe the best purple out of all the cuttings I have. Smell and potency are just average, they are good, just not as good as thin mints. It's a nice cookies smell with a slight hint of grape right now, but the flavor seems to change weekly. It doesn't have the overwhelming stench that made thin mints so popular though. In terms of potency, I'll give it a chance to finish, but right now it appears to be about average. Not as good as thin mints, but as good or better than many other GSC phenos. It's probably going to be about as strong as your average dispensary top shelf indica. Good enough to get the job done, but nothing to write home about.

I would describe it as a heavy yielding plant as long as you can veg it to an appropriate size. For comparison I've got a green crack plant I got at the same time. While the green crack grew much bigger, I think Mo's GSC might produce equal or slightly greater yield due to significantly better cola formation. It is really stacking up weight.

I would consider this cut more of a commercially viable cutting than a connoisseur's cut like thin mints. Assuming you can veg out a mom (which has proven very difficult for me) and you don't mind a 3+ week veg time, this seems like a great strain to grow in hydro. I don't think I'll grow it outside again. Although it doesn't mold it's just incredibly small compared to other plants which I planted at the same time or after this one.

Thanks for the informative posts. We've been growing out a GSC from HHC in Oakland and it is quite small and pretty slow vegging, at least at first. It does clone easily, even in water. It is now 61 days into flowering and does not resemble the Thin Mints one sees in most posts, but it is ripening quickly. It is heavier yielding with much closer node spacing. Even with a long veg, it stayed quite short. At the time we picked it up, Harborside had only one GSC which we were told came from MO. It looks as if we got the Platinum or some other version and not the Thin Mints we wanted.

Due to the small, med user grow we have, any mistakes are felt for some time. We'd like to get the Thin Mints, or a cut of equal quality. Bud quality is strongly favored over other considerations, albeit a decent yield is also needed. Can you suggest which of the Harborside GSC cuts you've tried finishes with the best quality buds. If none are of sufficient quality, can you point us to a Bay Area dispensary with reputable GSC clones?

Any assistance would be most welcome. We're a bit transportation challenged at the moment, so going to HHC is quite a trek. We'd like to avoid another misstep.

Thanks for your help.

Best,

bopper

P.S. We're old school (and not getting any younger) from the time of SE Asian flower tops, Columbian and Acapulco Gold and Panama Red, so commercial quality just doesn't cut it for personal/med use stash.
