I prefer it to thin mints. Yes, it's a ridiculously slow vegger.

Due to the small, med user grow we have, any mistakes are felt for some time. We'd like to get the Thin Mints, or a cut of equal quality. Bud quality is strongly favored over other considerations, albeit a decent yield is also needed. Can you suggest which of the Harborside GSC cuts you've tried finishes with the best quality buds. If none are of sufficient quality, can you point us to a Bay Area dispensary with reputable GSC clones?

I'm sorry I can't. None of my favorite cuts of GSC came from dispensaries.

However I would like to say that I'm now testing MF's GSC and it appears to be super legit. I like it very much. I don't know if it will develop a thin mint flavor or not but I can tell you it appears to be very rich in trichome content, yields decent, and has good color. Not sure if harborside carries MF or not, but elemental wellness does. They however only seem to have it off and on.

P.S. We're old school (and not getting any younger) from the time of SE Asian flower tops, Columbian and Acapulco Gold and Panama Red, so commercial quality just doesn't cut it for personal/med use stash.

We were under the impression that this GSC cut was from MO, before DH had them available. Perhaps the information got "lost in translation" and the clone was from DH. Sometimes the stake labels with Harborside clones are not as clear as might be hoped.

The plant in question is now 62 days into flowering and purpling as it ripens, so the quality should be evident soon.

I misread your post. MO's is a whole different ballgame. Still not sure how I feel about Mo's. I love the yield, the bag appeal, and the flavor, didn't like the potency. But I have no flowered it inside yet so I don't really know.

Thanks for the update. I'll be sure to relay some impressions post-harvest. It is looking as if it will finish right near 70 days, so the just-dried should be ready for uncured trials in about two weeks.

We'll likely try to get down to elemental wellness and check out the MF GSC. Thanks again for the suggestion.

Thanks Grandpapy for the response.

Ours is topped and trained to six branches, with growth below about 16" from the top of the remaining branches trimmed off early, so the overall appearance is different. The bud density along the branches and the bud form in your posted photo does, however, look quite similar to our example, now 65 days into flowering and 16 days into flushing. I'm getting a familiar sickly sweet scent from the buds instead of "thin mint" or another "exotic" scent. It also is purpling as it ripens, but the low temps recently may have helped speed that effect.

BTW the most recent post of a price for SCM GSC at Harborside is $20 (1-2-13).

Any one know which is the real thin mint cut? Scm, dhn or mo?

Also any experience with mo's platinum cookies?

i'm growing MO's platinum right now, Flowers didn't show until like day 15. The plant is small, not vigorous at all. I wouldn't grow it unless you vegg for a long time. If you're growing for profit i wouldn't try it. I do however like Mo's Grand Tahoe Og. Its only at day 28 in flower and its doing very well. 9 plants under a 1k light and the yield should be 1.5-2.0 Lbs on one light. If so, I will def grow it a few more times.
I am also growing Grand platinum OG from MO. It doesn't look like its going to produce hard but it is def. a good lookin strain so far.
