I'm out of ideas for how to lightproof my PC so it doesn't glow out the fans like a freakin jack-o-lantern while still getting good airflow??:wall:

The above, or just a 90 degree PVC elbow (diameter based on fan size) and paint the inside of the elbow black.

You should have carbon filters on exhaust fans that block light. Smok4 on another forum used PC fan guards with thin layer of carbon in pantyhose squished in and fastened on.

I just made a modified version of scrubninja's light trap (above drawing)

I used z channel flashing in a wood frame. I have couple construction pic in my linked thread. Should have finished pics up this evening, will let you know how it works. Without paint still lets too much light through

The guys in scrubninja's thread tried "z"s, but "z"s seriously cut the air flow. "V"s (right angle corner guards) worked better. I hope the "z"s work for you, voidling, but just saying. The thread over there is a long with one, with lots of guys trying different items...

You can also buy the corner guards in black. You'll still have to paint them flat black, but I think getting them black store-bought gives you a head start.

I remember seeing it a year ago, hadn't read all the way through it. Did they say what size spacing they were using between them? I've got 1/8 in gap and still lets a glow out so shouldn't be blocking that much airflow I wouldn't think :/ Yeah, still glowing back there, just not as bad as it was.

The corner guards at home depot were only in clear and more expensive than the galvinized metal flashing back in lumber. There are v's in the flashing, not just z
