Most narcotic strain?

What's the most sedating strain out there? I imagine it's gotta be a pure indica, something like DNA Genetic's Pure Afghan... I cuoldn't care less about yield, appearance, potency, taste, smell, etc., I am a patient looking for effects strictly. I want something very sedating with little psychedelic effects that is excellent for pain. I have horrible migraines and shingles and crippling anxiety. I've found the more sedating, the better. More like morphine, less like acid. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

EDIT: I've heard great things about some Sensi Seeds, but I also heard their Hindu Kush seeds had sativa phenotypes pop up :O and it's supposed to be 100% pure landrace genetics...

I've heard all of the following are very narcotic. Does anyone else have any experience with these?

Can't advise you much on the strain aside from saying stick with as close to a genuine Indica as possible... but equally important for this narcotic effect will be cutting at the right time and ensuring a proper cure. I'm sure there are quite a few hybrids out there that could give you great results as well.

Thanks for the feedback - I actually have grown some high indica hybrids and let them go to 10 weeks but the trichomes never really turned amber. Lots of cloudy but they just didn't want to turn amber. I've heard you need afghanicas for this to happen, to get the true narcotic stone...?:cuss:They were Dutch Passion Blueberry and Purple People Eater (Purple Trainwreck crossed with Purple Urkle)... both fantastic strains but again, not more than 10% amber at 10 weeks.

I can vouch for Maple Leaf Indica and it is not that couchlock. Great relaxer with not much mental disruption. I think it would suit you too. Has a positive vibe to the buzz which is sometimes lacking in a indica.

Has pain relief qualities for sure, but extreme pain no pot will do more than distract you from it. Slows my brain down to a comfortable level without leaving me drooling. It is damn near perfect for me anyways.

How are the anti-anxiety properties compared to a real couchlocker? Sometimes those confusing buzzes can be more likely to cause anxiety... so maybe the lack of mental disruption is an asset. Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate it.

I found DNA's Rocklock to be an uncanny couch-lock, pain killing, munchy inducing, pass-the-fuck-out-an-hour-later kinda shit.. i started from seeds, kept 1 mom, ran the rest through for production, we had 4 or 5 other strains at that time going as well, purps, misty, belladonna, kalichakra, and I cant remember what else, maybe martian meangreen.. any how vegged 6 weeks, transplanted to a 5 gal, and put em under 1000mh &1000hps, little fat shrubs, smelled like nothing ive ever encountered, so sticky, insane sticky.. soil was a mix equal of parts of happyfrog/oceanforest/coir used dolomite lime, and fed compost/guano tea plus a few other organic items from earth juice. it was intense shit, a bong rip would leave you sitting around for a while, a joint would wreck your day, if you used it to wake and bake you just went back to bed. The belladonna from paradise was amazing, very trippy mental high, narcotic in the other direction, it wouldnt leave you on the couch, but it made your day very interesting. getting things accomplished after smoking belladonna would prove more difficult than anticipated. all the others were just nice, but not as intense as these two. purps was flavorful and a fuzzy stoney high, misty was a mellow pain killing high, Kalichakra is intense, its not narcotic, but its enlightening, its like it grabs you by the third eye. supposedly it opens your root chakra. and the martian was nice, had no ceiling, every hit took you up a notch, and it was a small managable sativa. I remember who i was forgetting, La confidential, it was ok, a decent kush, however i wasnt all that impressed with the overall performance/quality of the plant.

Everyone knows that anti-anxiety properties are usually associated with couchlock on some level because there is no true sativa that helps bring down anxiety.
Sativas are soaring and energetic highs, it sounds cliche but it'strue.
Most pain relief will come from the indica side of a hybrid.
For narcotic strains check out Grand Daddy Purple or a Purple Kush, or try a Blueberry like Blue Dream. Good for pain relief and relieving anxiety.

No anxiety at all. I suffer from anxiety and some weed sets me off the wrong way. Never had a problem with the MLI. When I say I do not get couchlock, I do not mean that you will not. I can move around fine but yea, I tend to remain in one place. I have heard others call it narcotic or whatever like that.

yesum, when did you order your Maple Leaf Indica seeds, and where from? I've heard funny things about people ordering seeds from Sensi lately (supposedly they've gone downhill over the years?) and getting terrible germination rates, sickly plants, or plants that don't even resemble what they ordered... thanks.

we actually grew that one, Black Domina was decent but nothing to write home about, kinda hashy taste, mellow high, didnt last long, we weed'ed it out of our production line by the third time it went through.

Thats what I wanted. Could it have been a pheno thing? Or is the strain just that way?

there were 2 phenos a tall and a short, the tall was unruley but the short was a great grower long long long finish, needs low night temps. but a gooey crystal covered dense nugs, just wasnt as strong as id hoped when it came to the high. great production strain or sog.

I got them a few months back from Seed Boutique. Yea, Sensi Seeds appears to have failed to keep their lines clean and all that. The MLI is an exception to that. I asked a long time grower about the MLI on another forum and he said it is just as it was 10 years or so back. He also said some of the other lines from Sensi had suffered during that time.

I had 100% germination and stable phenos, although 1 is a standout in potency. Compact xmas tree look to it, if you should grow them. The others were more branchy but not terribly different.

Oh, excellent, I'm glad to hear it's okay because I've never heard such good things about a strain! I've spent endless hours reading about various strains, but I've never seen feedback like on this one - over, and over, and over, everyone that's grown it has said it was one of their favorites ever and commented specifically on the lack of anxiety. I will definitely be looking into getting seeds. I need something that's non-addictive for anxiety very badly, I have crippling anxiety and it leads to debilitating migraines and shingles. Thanks for the update!!

Me too... I seem to have gotten pretty sensitive to the anxiety-inducing effects of cannabis lately though, really unfortunate but that's just how it is right now... I need something truly stand out for anxiety. I've tried probably 20 different hybrids and I have that issue pop up on higher doses (which are what I need for the painkilling effects) on them all, less so on the indica dominants.

go with a kush, a good pure kush, or any other solid indica, but pure kush or afghan is what you need.
