mother plant lights

what would be the best and cheapest lights i could you to support a mother plant that will be kept rather short and a gaggle of clones? im looking for something effectiv and cheap i don't really want to use an MH for something like this

i dont see why you couldnt use flourescent tubes or cfls, thats what i use and they do pretty good, they work great for vegging :)

I was reading from another thread where the grower was not watering the mother plants as much. Said it cut the growth rate to a halt. Then when he needed more clones just started watering and it would take off like crazy. But if your using hydro than this would obviously not work.

3 36 watt cfls? that sounds pretty good.i didnt know what as cheaper/ more effective, the tube lights or the bulb lights

i use one 125w cfl for the mom and it works pretty good. got it at worm's way like 50 bucks for the bulb. stays cool in the small space.
