Mounting Cob heatsink flush?

Hi everyone, running a single vero 29 in a micro grow under powered at 30w. I need help findiing out how to mount it flush with my grow lid. It seems this guy has taken a L bracket with self tapping screws to both sides and somehow glued it on? Could I use cabinet L brackets and achieve the same thing? What heatsink is he running?

looks like a waste of money to me. How much can you actually grow in a bucket? It will cost you much more than its worth, in my opinion. Wait until you can grow in a tent at least, save your money

He probably used a adhesive like "weld-mount" . It sticks to both plastic and aluminum. In place of that, some UHB double sided tape would hold. Nothing wrong with growing in a trash can  A quick search of the forum will return more than one trash can grow. The heatsink looks like the 6.2 or 7 inch heatsinkusa profile.

Thank you sir :) Unfortuenly for those heatsinks I would have to drill for my led, any suggestions on drill bit size/screw size? What about self tapping screws?

Trash cans are perfect, the lids pop up instead of having to manually remove it. Plus they are made with seals at the top to hold in not only smell, but make it easier to have negative pressure. Some of us love micro grows, because we only need 4-6oz a year. I have a spacebucket that yields me 2oz every 90 days...I want to build this for EFFICIENCY and cut down on yield size...lol
Cheers!

You could use a holder built for that vero. That should have a screw sizes and hole pattern on the data sheet, or you could glue the vero 29 directly to the heatsink using thermal glue like arctic silver directly to the bottom of the vero 29. If you already have the holder, just use a smaller screw than the hole in the holder in case the drill bit wanders. I would drill and tap since the self tapper is pretty likely to snap in the aluminum.
Good luck
