IMO Maine is a great place to live period. How much do you like winter? That kinda helps to determine where you want to be here.

Im not much of an east coast person perfer west over east but must say as far as growing goes colorado is the place to be!! Cali is also nice with a lot more to do if your an uneasy person and have to have something new everyday.

If i were moving to Maine i would either look at the Western Mountains between Fryeburg and the Canadian border or the Portland area. Portland is a really funky large town.

A lot depends on how much $$ you need to make. HUGE difference in earning potential depending on what part of the state you live in. Even bigger disparity in the cost of living. For example, you can rent a 3 bedroom house in Madison for less than a 1 bedroom apartment in Portland will run you.

You can pay 50k for a house lot in Southern areas whereas 50k can get you 50 ACRES in the North and East areas. Obviously you'll find a variety no matter where you go but all things being equal the same house that goes for 300k in York will go for 150k in Jackman.

But, no matter where you decide to move here in Maine, one things for sure, as the state with the largest percent of forested land (90%) finding a place to guerrilla grow is a snap.

The end of the world isn't at the Northern Maine Border, as in there is lots of shit to do in Canada. So, you could live in Northern Maine if you wanted.

my gf ilves in maine, just outside of camden, and it's beautiful up there.. like people are saying, prices vary a lot by area, but there are some really nice spots up there for sure..
coming from maryland, i hope you really like snow and winter time as that's a large part of living up there, and the main reason why she lives in maine and i don't..

I live way up North in Aroostook County and it's beautiful up here if you can stand the winters. Everyone is amazingly friendly and nice and there's lots of tokers around of all ages. It's becoming a joke that Potatoes and Marijuana are our staple crops. Even if you're not medical the cops usually aren't aggressive unless you do something stupid. Multiple friends have been stopped, and either let go again after that was the only infraction, or told to have someone come pick them up and their car because they're not fit to drive. Unless you're a jackass or lie you don't generally get a fine and even then it's maximum $500 but usually only $300ish.

we actually only got like 50 inches of snow this year hahaha
but anyways man i would look into the sebago, fryberug area personally, lots of woods for growing, plenty of privacy, near the ski areas, near portland, and housing isnt to expensive...... maine inst cheap to live in at all though man hahaha

the difficultly arises in the dealing with said patients..

their are many patients in needs, fewer are reliable paying patients, fewer still don't have weird hang-ups.. lol it's all part of any business but since this thing got mmj legal peoples expectations are all over the place. . mostly when it comes to pricing though..
