Is this a sativa or indica? any thoughts?
its mostly a cola on a stick but the buds look like sativa calyxes. i guess thats a hybrid for indica size and sativa buzz. looks tasty. its hard to see can u take a close up of the buds

I know I should have probably tied it down instead of letting it grow straight up. Hindsight is always 20/20.

After some reading through some threads and the help of Mr. Video and nongreenthumb I decided to go with I believe it's called a DWC for my next grow. I have a couple of clones and I put together this tray. Took my all of 20 minutes to make this thing. I went to get the Hydroton and the nutes "probably going with Fox farm" but the damn hydro store here is always closed. They have two shops and they are never at the one where i'm at. Going to go and try again today to get he rest of the stuff....here's the pics....tell me what u think.

No, but I have never done this kind of grow and was browsing your grow journal and seen your supplies on a picture and was wondering what that "aqua mist" thing is for? (what does aqua mist do for your setup?)

It's an airstone. Supposedly the plant can survive with the roots being partially submerged in oxygenated water. Search this website for DWC grow.

From what I know about tap water is.... you will need to buy a filter. Such as a Brita water filter jug is probably the cheapest. Its a water jug that you pour your tap water into and it drips through the filter and fill the bucket, it take a while though so you you save your milk jugs or O.J. jugs and once the filter runs it course fill the jug and fill the filter again so you always have fresh clean water around. Or you could buy one that attaches under your sink and have instant clean water, but is a little pricey but is worth it in the long run if you use lots of water. I have a 75gallon fish tank and a 20 gallon fish tank on top of my plant needs I go through a lot of water.

Damn, I wrote a long update and I got some stupid message and it was all deleted. So here I go again. I got the hydroton and some fox farm nutes. I am going to follow the instructions on the one fox farm product where it says dillute it and spray it on the leaves. I'm ready to on my bubbler, it's all put together, looking good I just need to get a ppm meter. I'm looking for one locally that may be cheap, worse case scenerio I have to buy one online. I am prepared to order some northern lights seeds from nirvana. I wanted the northern lights/big bud cross but they are all sold out. So I am going to settle on the northern lights I also attached some pics of my little clones. They haven't grown much but they do have some pretty good rooting action going on. The picture of the bone meal is the product i was using before I got the fox farm stuff the other day.
