I had an auto-fem that turned male which is quite rare, but 8 of 12 sounds like a major shipping error or a serious issues with the breeder

BTW: these 2 auto-fem seeds were from my previous plant that produce a couple dozen seeds....this is my first attempt at growing those seeds

I replaced the CFL's with a brand new 600 watt HPS bulb and have reduced the hours to 18/6

I was running 24/0 (something I seldom do) because the temps were so friggin cool...was having a hard time even getting up to 74F ....much better with the HPS

I'll let these veg for another week or so, then will reduce to 12/12...I hope they are all female but my gut says there is at least one male...maybe two

Update....these 3 gals are doing okay but not great.
The HPS light has made a difference but I'm still not overly thrilled with their performance.
I'm thinking of going 12/12 fairly soon and see what we have for gender

J1: this Jack Herer auto-fem is one sad looking plant....its days may be numbered

J2; small but looking okay

The Auto Fems don't have that healthy look and depth of color like the others. Don't give up on J1 yet though, remember "the big W".

I have reduced the hours to 12/12 (actually 11.5/12.5) so I should be seeing gender in a week or so

B: tall and skinny, typical of a male but I was thinking since these were bag-seeds they are all likely to be females
P1140019.JPG

C: short but filled out
P1140020.JPG

D: has become the pick of the litter
P1140023.JPG

and the two Jack Herer auto-fem's ....which were from a past hermie plant
I now place these 2 in another grow room (closet) with some CFL/LED bulbs for 12 hours, then back to the HPS room for the light hours

It will not surprize me if these go hermie, as I'm sure it will stress them flipping from one light source to another everyday and also changing the hours (started 24/0, then 20/4, then 18/6, now 24/0)

J1 (left) is looking rather sad, but looks better when in the CFL/LED room
J2 (right) is coming along, but does seem small for its age

I can't believe how these are stretching....seems I'm lifting the lights a few inches everyday

B - this gal is stretching the most of the 3
P1220014.JPG

C - this is the runt of the litter but I think it may become a nice one
P1220015.JPG

D: this one has the most potential, she starting to fatten out and less stretch than B
