My Advanced Nutrients Organic Feed Schedule. ENJOY

I certainly respect your right to use whatever nutrients you like and to post your schedule and to help other people follow your schedule. I used to use these nutes and couldn't find a good schedule anywhere and would have appreciated this at the time. That's what these forums are for, so that we can show off our methods and our plants, and so that people can ask for help. My only beef is that this is in the organics forum and most of the products, as you said admittedly, aren't organic. People that are new to growing often stop by the organics section looking for tips on new nutes, products, or methods because they want to grow organic and if they see this AN all over the hydro store with their clever marketing and then they see a thread like this, they may be swayed to spend a bunch of money trying out AN and not realize they aren't using organic products. Most of us organic guys that have been here for awhile are proud of the fact that we use little or no bottles and that we take advantage of more natural methods with less waste. We've found through experience that our flowers taste and smell better just by using teas and organic amendments and we still get comparable yields. So I think some of the old-schoolers were just a little offended, and you'll probably continue to have some people hating for those reason. That being said, the line-up looks good, that's almost exactly what I was using last year when I tried out AN. My yields were a little better and I had less spacing between internodes, as their advertising suggested I would, but it still tasted like I was using hydro nutes unless I flushed for over ten days.

Your plants look really healthy, nice big fat flowers and even the fan leaves all still look great for late flower. And your canopy looks great as well. I build tents the same size, I like the 8x4s. I split 1000w magnetic into two 600s though. Are those the mini clip fans or smaller fans you have up at canopy level? I do the same thing but with 16" wall mount fans, but it seems like there's never a good spot for them..
First of all... I always flush for 14days+
Second... Yes those are mini clip fans. Not using them as much anymore. I like to find similar ones that oscillate, but they are hard to get.

Here are some pictures of my current grow featuring CheeseQuake and Plushberry from TGA.
These photos were taken on day 26 of bloom. I'm now posting videos on Youtube under "NicolasNugs" come and check me out if you like what you see here.

This is a great insight into organics - thanks Witch Doctor.

I think it's good to share our experiences, without being negative about a brand in particular. You point out a good thing, that people aren't always sure what they are using and what this might mean for their results and taste. And while it sounds like you saw some better results from the AN products, if you don't like the taste, then you don't.

THIS is awesome conversation to have. Experiences. I learn a lot from growers like you.

I could not agree more. Study after study has shown that there just isn't any justification for the claims that organic is better. Many taste tests show people prefer "regular" food to organic food when they don't know which is which. My opinion is it's mostly in the mind. You can give people cheap food in an expensive restaurant and they'll swear it's the best they've had. Flip it around and they'll say it's cheap. What's really funny is when you start asking people how many calories something has. They'll guess right about fast food when they're told it's fast food, but give them the same food and say it's from a fancy restaurant and they'll swear it's half the calories it actually is. And fine-dining is often as calorie-laden if not more than fast food. It's all in our heads.

Hey, if organic does it for you who am I to argue? Do what makes you happy.

All I'm sayin' is give doubt a chance. When we never doubt what we believe, we never learn something new!

Anyway, don't forget that something can be organic by even the strictest standards but not be "certified" by some organic police agency and therefore not be labeled as organic. From what I've heard a bunch of AN products that are currently not sold as organic are being evaluated by one of those certifying agencies right now. I saw a video talking about it. So once they get the approval to stamp "organic" on it - not changing a damn thing but the label - it's going to magically be better than it was before? Obviously not.

Some people just aren't happy with how they grow, they need you to be UNHAPPY with how you grow. It's like they can't be right unless everyone agrees with them or something.

Looks like you're doing really well with this and that's great by me. I run Advanced Nutrients too, a bit different list, but I'm not gonna tell you there's anything wrong with your grow. You're happy? I'm happy. Haters will hate no matter what you do and you can't please them all. Good for you for not playing the game.

I always get a chuckle out of the people who say that cannabis doesn't benefit from nutrients designed for cannabis. Do those people think the hydroponic tomato growers use the same fertilizers as the hydroponic lettuce, basil, etc. growers? Of course they don't. Everyone uses nutes tailored to their crops unless they're really small-time. Maybe it doesn't make a HUGE difference if your nutes are cannabis-specific or they're some retread soil-crop recipe for tomatoes or corn or some shit. But it does make some difference and it's up to each individual grower to decide if that difference is worth it to them.

Trying to tell one grower they're wasting their money because they put a higher value on something than you do is arrogant. None of us are qualified to decide what other people should value most.
Right on. I run Advanced nutes and I get the haters too. proof is in the pudding and its my pudding im eating so I will make it my own way. Much love to all the growers out ther takin care of business!!!!

And your puddin is killing you. I'll take an ounce of my medicine over a pound of your poison. This is the organic section, this thread shouldn't even be here. There is nothing organic about it. Not to mention you dug up a 2+ year old thread. Congrats!

thanks for the laughs guys, The hydro stores love guys like this. that is all.
Hey man, the hydro store guys need to earn a living too! IMO, he's contributing to society. Sure he pays a little more for nutes but he's still doing damn well in every way. Why get greedy? There's a fine line between practical and greedy. Dude sounds like a stand up guy to me... tired of the AN hate! AN is an absolutely amazing hydroponic nutrient. More confusing than it's worth for soil. All basic principles thrown out the window when using advanced in soil. They say not to add calmag with RO water and not to PH my nutrient solution. Sorry but I'm not feeding my plants PH 5.5 and cross my fingers AN is right. Once I switch my room to hydro I'll go back to Advanced maybe for ease of use, but in the meantime it's Canna for the world!

AN advertising is the only place you will here this stated. Any botanist will tell you the claim is pretty much bunk....
You think Silica is bunk? I've done side by side tests in veg and noticed a tremendous difference in the strength of the stem. It's almost like the silicone swelled the inside of the stem and made them thicker and harder... kinda like a boner pill for plants. I've also noticed when i super crop plants that have been fed silica, I wind up breaking them a lot more than when I don't.
