I'm just not a fan of the sun cloak. I think it is just such a waste of photons.

Hung 4, 5k led 15w spot-lights in the bay's of the SC. Adding some blue to the 23k spectrum. Worked out well.

The plants love the Amare w/the lenses on. Guess I got the height this time. Footprints on point to, at about 4' at the canopy.

HH got a Freind to help out today. A 4k Utility-Tech Pro from Lowes. Not running yet. I hope this white will make a difference.

Plants are all happy! Opened them up some today, with ties.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg They just got put back after working so they're not adjusted.
Should get interesting!

Haha looks like my words got you thinking huh? I think adding those on top between the blades is a GREAT idea. Do those have diffusers on them? Can you show me the new led bulbs a little more close up?

Well said man.

When did You buy the cloak? Recently? What's the specs and price? That's a pretty badass idea. Can you flip then around to face outwards and still hang lights above? That would be sweet between 3 groups of 2 or 4 plants. Ultimate side lighting for the middle plants.

As for the hack yeah it blows. Vic was nice enough to hook me up and after paying for them I figured them into my next run before having my hands on them. No biggie, just picked up another veg bulb for the cmh and using that till they arrive. It's a flesh wound for everyone. Hurts a bit but everyone will recover and the one who did the damage is obviously concerned enough about their own buisness success to do something so pathetic. Your so right! I did search. No real complete grows under the other manufacturers and if so its not epic by any means. My last run was a mess, new everything. Room, nutes, lights, strains and still pulled 1.3gpw with autos in 75 days seed to chop. I give credit to the light man. Intensity and spectrum is what everyone else tries to achieve. Surely not doing it with single cobs.

I love how everyone tries to compare to Amare. Dude this light I'm building is gonna smoke yours. Sure it's easy to win in a watt vs watt build. But I highly diubt anyone will build a 450w light that can take it on. Reminds me of the shark vaccume commercials. Better this or better that than the dyson. why not better than the Hoover? Cause the dyson is the best. Bad analogy .

As for DIY it's fun and all but your also right about bcblondes. Cheap as hell and primo parts. I think the cheapest is through timber and it's 379. The blondes is 439 with a housing. Can't beat it. Cutter is cheap but shipping is high and probably slow. I have been messing around with some 3590's and 10 dollar cxa2530's thinking of doing a 8 foot bat in the mid point of my girls shining horizontal. Sorry long ride home, rant over

Oh the bcblondes have some nice parts lists but I think the frames are waaaaay to tight. The cobs are practically on top of each other. See the one with 16 cobs for 1500? Super hot spot in the middle. Compared to the maximizer having half the cobs and priced at 1849 makes you wonder when it comes to markup. I'd buy the blonds and take half the cobs out before I dropped 1849

That's the one I like. 17w , 120w replacement, Sylvania w/ optics.
Girls are all happy! Waiting for them to drink their transplant water so they can get their first bloom feed.

Cloak looks badass. That last photo was a perfect shot. Would be nice if you could control the rows or strips

You can control them. You can control every 2'x4' or 1 blade. See the connection disconnect wires at the top. Allows you to turn the outside blades or any of them off. Just unplug. Can't wait to get my 32" blades next week. The 48" aren't for me.
It actually opens up to one more bay but I adjoined them to create this configuration of lights.
The Plants are liking the lenses on the Amare I'm pleased to see.
The Utility-Tech isn't really doing its job the way I thought it would. The light needs to be focused more. When I hung the 17 w Sylvania next to it, it blended the burple w/ the white better. Lowes was all out, but I'll get more & put 2 around the HH as well as replace the diffused 2 in the back of the Cloak.
I always wanted to run the Cloak w/ a light on either side. It's pretty cool. Can't wait to get the Pro-4.

@Hybridway can't find where I asked, but again, do you ever use the UV lamp in the Amare? What kind of bulb is it exactly? I assume it has to be something close to a reptile bulb with maybe 25% actual UVB because I know agromax PURE UV Bulb is only in 2' & 4' lengths.

I just noticed there are strips lights along the top horizontal rail of the SC. Those 32" Blades are gonna be exactly what you need. It'll bring those top lights down closer to the top of the canopy and be much much more useful!
