my cfl grow

Hey guys

So i started my first indoor grow. my setup is as follow

Strains: swazi gold and transkei
Lighting: 340w 6400k cfl
medium: normal potting soil
nutes: Wonder Supranure plus 3:2:1 (22)

Plants are still in veg and have been now for about 4-5 weeks now. Did topping on both and lst.
will post some pics later

Here is to growing some good dank.

hey guys, anyone ever use these led grow bulbs. this one is a 27w full spectrum led bulb. if any one has, how did they perform and how far do you need to keep them from your plant?

Im considering getting myself one of these 300w ufo led's. grow space is 120mm x 65mm x 55mm. now i read that over 300w, led's should be kept 60cm away from plant. So taking pot size and plant height in mind, i will have to extend my grow cabinet with roughly 40-50cm giving that pot + plant will take up about 80-100cm. is this correct, am I on the right track here?

and here is an update pic of my plant so far. i wanna switch over to 12/12 end of month

okay well, seems this is one if those websites where favoritism is played out and no real help or input or advice or criticism is giving.. guess i will move along then.

Don't use these. Chinese junk. Not shit talking, it's a well-known fact. Save your money. Look into COBs. 240-300w will get you a pound easy if you do it right.

I'd say yes. Some work, but not optimally. I got 4 ounces from 2 plants using 412w of ViparSpectra. COBs, I use 241w of light and get a pound. All depends on what you deem a success, but I'd just use COBs or Quantum Boards.

Lighting: 340w 6400k + 140w 2700k cfl = 480w mix spectrum of cfl.. I went with cfl becuase of height constrictions.. I wanted to upgrade to led panels or ufo in that space but read that lights needs to be kept between 12-24 inches from plant which basicly leaves me with almost no grow height for the plants. Thats why i looks at those led grow bulbs cause they can be kept at 6 inches from the plant that will give me alot more play.. I also come across 24w red and blue led bars that can also be kept 6 inches away from plant.. So seeing as led panels and ufos are out the question in this space, what would be my better option. Sticking to the cfl's and just add more as i go along or maybe consider the 24w led bars or a mix of the two?

Forgo CFLs, UFOs, and Panels. Definitely not 24w strips. Get COBs. 3500k, 80/90 CRI.

Even a T1 or a T2 will outdo what you have there, n-fold. $205 and $350 respectively. I use 3 Tasty T1s.

Cobs are hard to come by in S.A. And the places that do sell are way too expensive.. Even importing them will be more then i can budget for.. I have been looking into the cobs but untill they become more popular and available here im a bit screwed.. Even just normal led grow panels are 3x the amount here then what you guys are paying..

Thanks for the advice and input.. Seems im a bit fucked then.. Guess i will make due with what i got then..

Yip South Africa, guess i will make the led panel move as soon as i can get a grow tent at a decent price.
But with that said, if i do get the grow tent, will 2 600w chinese leds be sufficient?

Sorry for all the questions but while i have someone to actually get some info i wanna make the best of it..

Unless you're trying to be a kingpin, that should be adequate for personal consumption.
