so, I bought a Gavita pro 10000 complete fixture. I had it at 9ft, as high as it would go set on 1000 watts.
just finished up my first run under it with some heirloom OG. My best ever dried weight under a new 1000 watt hortilux has been just under 2 1/2 zips per plant or close to 70 grams
dried results of gavita pro, same plant 95 grams
The one thing I noticed is that all the plants under the gavita and half of the plants facing the gavita got light bleached. The other half of those plants are under a 1000 watt horti.and are still green. So, the gavita is to much light for the height of my room. I am starting a new run of the same OG with the gavita set to 750 watts. Curious if I can pull the same weight or close to it at 750. should be interesting to find out.

They tout some pretty impressive numbers. Highest output on the market. And, it's dutch-made. I'm interested to see what you can do with it, too. I'm curious - why not go for the 825 setting first. Did they bleach pretty bad?

it is in the middle of 2 other 1000 watt hortiluxs and it bleached out the outer leaves of the plants under them, I figured at 750, it shouldn't bleach out the ones under it, still testing, after I see what happens at 750, I'll crank it up to 825 if no bleaching occurs.

Holy shit, i just finished trimming up and weighting another OG plant, this one came up 3 grams short of a QP, I never thought this OG could produce that much, but this gavita is awesome.

was running good at 750, i decided to take out another 1000 watt hortilux and put the gavita on a light rail. Running it on 1150 on the rail

I was just checking out some of the 600w Gavita and can't help but wonder if they would do just as well dropped down 6-8 inches from where the 1000's hang?
$100 less than the 1000w and they seem to have all the perks that come with the brand.
Maybe two 600w?

Gavitas are awesome! I am very curious about your plan to run the 1000w @ 750. Are you planning on doing that for the entire grow? I am looking to buy some new Gavitas and am wondering if I should get the 1000's and dim them down for half the grow or get the 600/750's and run them at full power.

interesting thread....I upgraded my bloom room from Viparspectra LEDs to Gavita. The heat is insane compared to the LEDs. The buds are rock hard where as before they were airy, this was the main reason I upgraded lights so it solved that problem. I havent been running the same strains so I cant do an apples to apples like above. I really do like the Gavitas for density though !
