Hey I'm new to all this growing business,

but a friend of mine has been experimenting with his auto flowers and he seems to have started doing it on point, because of this I have been given 2x dedoverde haze automatic and royal cheese automatic from royal queen seeds.

For my seeding mix I'm using 70% john innes seeding soil and 30% pearlite.

For my potting mix I'm using biobizz and my friends given me his plant feed. (can anyone suggest any good feeds I can purchase as id like to mix it up from my friend during my next grow.)

I'm only on day two at the moment as I have only potted my seeds last night!

I also have these seeds coming; Autopilot XXL Feminised
Auto Amnesia Feminised
Quick One Automatic Feminised (Free Seed From The Vault)

Has anyone tried any of these little babies I have on order?

any tips or help would be hugely appreciated!!

Thanks again,

Luke Vincent.

Thanks guys, my only real reason with choosing my autos was just to get the bug for it I don't want too do too many autos, deffo don't want to buy anymore but ive spoke to a few people and they seemed to think it was a good starting point, do you guys believe this to be true to an extent too?

Third tip, only post about autos in the autos section of the forum because a lot of photo only growers will ignore your questions and just tell you how much autos suck... lol.

But yeah, if your friend has the auto game dialed in he is probably a good resource. And like I said, the autoflower section of this site will get you good advice without all the snarky comments.

Some Autos nowadays are pretty strong and productive there is actually a couple pro's about them., If u have 2 separate rooms u can veg plants and flower autos at the same time while u have ur photo plants flowering at the same time in the other room..etc but that's pretty much what i like about them.

I have not grown any of these strains but I can help you get started if you have questions

Are you planning on transplanting? If so don't. Plant right into the final container
What's your grow area like ( what kind of lights fans filters pots etc) are you using your friends?

As for feeding i'd suggest starting simple until you get the hang of reading a plant and figuring out what she needs. I started with general organics go box it's like $40 and has everything you need. Just follow their feeding schedule when pistils show or they start to look hungry but start at a 1/4 strength of what they recommend and build up as the plant gets bigger
I'd also recommend looking up the history of ruderalis strains to become familiar with how they act
Hope some of this helped and happy growing let me know if you have more questions

I have been growing autos for over a year and wouldn't switch back to photos for any reason unless I opened a warehouse. I average 7-9 oz per plant under low wattage and they finish fast. In a perpetual setup you can have large harvests every 40 days. Get over to an autoflower forum and you can learn a lot.
First tip.....autos suck
First tip don't listen to idiots who are stuck in their photo only ways. Autos today are 100x better than they were years ago. IMG_0463.JPG

My 2 cents if i may, dont transplant , or top, or fim, or over fert, Auto's can be fickle kritters, & any setback will cost U at the other end
Airpots, hps, Lst, all help imo..........& if the breeder says 70 days , add another 10 days.........good luck to U

Sorry, I proven all these tales to be myths. you can lst, top, fim, bend em, break em, they keep coming back for more! I transplant autos by the dozen. My transplant will show new growth within HOURS of transplant. The "secret" is to transplant as soon as the leaves are as wide as the container they are in. You'll find no, or only just the begginning of root circling. The plant in the pic was treansplanted for a 24 oz container to a 20 gallon pot. She was topped twice, and bent over for scrogging ast 24".
