My First Grow. Is this too much water?

I'm new... Very happy to find this place. Hopefully I'm posting in the right spot...

I have water being delivered right onto the rockwool cube and I'm concerned that it might be too much water.

Should my water be more directed towards the clay stones just outside of the rockwool cube?

It's not good to keep the rockwool totally saturated. How is the water being applied? Top drip? Hand watered or what?

I had my seedlings nearly killed by damp rockwool in a similar kind of setup. My advice, ditch the RW altogether, maybe leave a little piece just to hold the seedling untill it can hold on on its own, and let the roots develop straightint clay pebbles. If you cover the net pot with a plastic sheet and if you ahve enough bubbles, clay will be kept mosit all the way to the top just by bubbles sprinkling on the botom of the net pot. If that sin't enough put your pump on timer and perhaps water every 4 hours for 15 minutes.

@ Mr. Ganja, I suppose you might call it a "top drip". My setup is one of those large tubs with room for 6 net pots on top. There is a sub-pump inside cycling the water thru the net pots.

@ Both, Thanks guys for the fast response. I've adjusted the location of the hoses so that they are not directly feeding the rock wool. I've had 6 germinated seeds under this "over-watering" condition since Sunday (about 4 days ago) and they were not looking very good at all. I've lost one for sure, but you may have helped me save the other 5

Drip is good although you need to make sure to spread the watering time evenly unless you want root rot or a dead plant, let the rockwool dry out a bit then add a few drops.

My username is JohnDee, the Mr Ganja is a RUI thing based on my post count just like you are Stranger.

I used to grow in Waterfarms when I first started hydro. Started seeds in rockwool. The drip ring is fairly large in waterfarms so the rockwool didn't stay saturated. Everything grew perfectly. So keep the drip away from the cube (as much is possible) and you should be OK.
