Bay Area guy here.

I started my first grow ever. I built a 9'x5' shed and put a 3'x3' Grow Tent inside.

..... The biggest issue I had today and will continue to have is environment. The shed, the tent, the heat (too hot, too cold) as well as getting the fans/circulation right to help with cold nights. I figured I set my OUT VENT fan to MEDIUM during the night to try and keep it warmer, and then move the OUT VENT fan to HIGH during the day to help with it getting too hot. (First day, the temp in the tent got to 88.9degrees for a few minutes until I opened it all up)

I have two 4" duct vents going right outside with a bug net for IN TAKE and one 4" dryer vent fan (183cfm) for OUT TAKE, with a carbon filter. (Again, running MEDIUM at night and HIGH during day)

One thing I figure is I am going to do NIGHT/DARK from 11AM to 5PM. This makes it so the light is OFF during day (compensating for the too hot issues) and use lights through evening and night into morning to heat during the night.

I am making sure water is at 300ppm because clones and will go to 500ppm in a few days. The water PH is at 6.4 when I watered them when they got home and then sprinkled more water before I closed it up for the evening.

I have two small circulating fans blowing over the plants because there my have been a bug flying around and trying to keep him off the plants. (I couldn't kill him)

Tomorrow I'm getting the jigsaw out and add two 10" vents (with bug screen) to the shed to get some more airflow into the shed so help with venting/airflow to keep the shed cooler.

WOW - this may be too much work.

Friendly replies/help is appreciated. :-)
