My first hydro

This is my first hydro grow it is going very slow. I've had a successful dirt grow before but this will be my first bubbleponics hydro grow.I would have started this journal sooner but somebody borrowed my camera and hasn't given it back yet. Fortunately I finally took the time to figure out how to us my camera phone.

Its already going on to week 5 and my tallest of 6 plants is only 4 inches. I have had what seems like never ending problems. High ph was the start. Then vinegar, crappy nutes, and lights leaks caused some serious algae. After fixing both of those it was yellowing leaves at the bottom, which i determined was a nitrogen deficiency. Nutrients was answer which you can guess it by this point nute burn.

But even after all that factored in it still seems really slow to me. And the reason I say that is plant 6 looks so much healthier than the rest and it was the last one started. Anyway let me give some of the details of my grow. The seeds are all from bagseed. The one labeled number 6 was from some real good stuff I smoked and looks the most promising by far. Currently the ph is about 5.8 water temp 70 Room temp 81. The medium is some coco fiber surrounded by river rock in net pots. Its in an 18 gallon storage container with 3 air stones. Two 6" stones set up on the outer part and one 5" round disc stone in the middle. I change the water every 2 weeks. I have 3 50 watt hps lights and 4 cfl's all 5500k 2 are 14w and 2 are 27w. Its all setup in a cabinet which is roughly 3 sq ft. I dont know the ppm but currently i've backed off from using any nutes due to the recent nute burn. I just changed the water yesterday so I figure there should be enough micronutes in the tap water for a couple of days.
Im really curious to see if any body has advice and/or questions please feel free.:weed:

Just some updated pictures. They are growing but I still believe something is a little off. Its been 5 days I think since the first pictures and my biggest grew a whole inch but looks droopy and the bottom leaves died off.
