My low ppm schedule

hello,
I'd like to get some opinions on people's ppm schedule. I'm doing fine, but mine are a lot lower than others. I use the Eutech 6.4 conversion, use botanicare bloom and veg, grow in peat, Verm and perlite mix which have huge chunks of peat in it for extra O2, (not pro mix brand), I have an exhaust with passive intake which keeps co2 levels around 350 ppm, I also use 1,000w set ups, temps 75 day, 65 night, 50% rh. I've been using this method for many years and I always get an average of 1,250 dried grams per light.

Now for the discussion. I see a lot of people going up to 1,600 ppm or higher, which I know differs from the conversion chart you use, different set ups, etc, but I top out at 500 ppm, including the 150 ppm tap water. Right now I'm at week 1 of flowering, my tap is at 150 ppm, then I brought it up to 380 this week using pure blend pro bloom and a bit under a teaspoon of cal mag per gallon of water. I have no deficiencies and the cotyledons are just starting to die off (I vegged for 3 weeks from seed this time, 2 weeks of seedling stage & 3 weeks of veg, 5 weeks altogether). I am also starting to get slightly yellow tips, which tells me this amount of food is spot on, maybe a tad bit too much. So is there anyone else out there getting good results using such a little amount of nutrients like me? When I first started many years ago, I used ppm schedules I found in books and forums, yet I always burnt everything and had bad yields.

Thanks for reading my first post ever, and I'd just like to mention to all the newbies out there that are curious about ppm charts that they should learn how to read a plants needs first instead of a ppm schedule, certain strains and different setups require different things, so my schedule might not work for your setup.

I'm running critical kush at the moment

Dude, if you're averaging 1250 from 1k watts, then keep doing what you're doing. Many people would be happy with half that yield/outcome.
Having said this, I'm currently running 1400ppm in my 50l DWC (600w hps), and my plant is healthy as can be... we'll see what the yield is like.
