My Second 400w closet grow!

hey every1, just harvested a few weeks ago and now starting my second grow. gonna keep this journal from the beginning. its a pain getting pics from my cell phone to RIU but want to keep ppl updated on this grow. Im growing out 8 clones and keeping 6. since thats the magic and legal number. i have 2 afgooeys 2 blueberry kush 2 Jack the rippers and 2 querkles. there all looking very healthy! better than my last clones i started with. the querkle are the smallest and prob the unhealthiest. but look like there coming around now. i got them on 1/14/10 and will be vegging till around 18-22 inches. im thinking 1 to 1 1/2 months of veg. my grow room is a closet in my room. i added insulfoam from home depot to inclose it and put mylar on that. its 28''x48''x8'. running a 400w mh for veg and 400w hps during flowering. ventilation jus have a fan blowing out the room and against the wall for circulation. this time around im trying technaflora nutrients. cause there cheap. and hopefully work. i dont have enough money to run H&G again this time around. going way lighter on the nutes. max about 75% what there list recommends. ill get pics up of the clones and my closet by the end of this day. im sure i left a lot out. so any questions jus ask! and be free to post away!

alright you guys should be able to see which strains they are but if not. top to bottom its Jack the ripper,afgooey, afgooey top view, blueberry kush, querkle, then a shot of the grow room. there a little bit droopy right now cause they needed watered. i gave them 25% nutes today. man i love this stuff!

alright im open for suggestions with soil. its the only thing im not sure about yet. i used ocean forest my last grow. i would of liked a little better drainage. so im just gonna get perlite also this time. unless some1 can recommend something better. im leaning towards soil. but promix or something like that is an option also. any suggestions is appreciated. thanks guys!

fox farms soil and just add perlite for drainage

fox farms is great shit and if you like to water a lil more and not have to worry bout overwatering perlite is the best shit to add some people but sand even old root mass but all that is fairly dirty and run risk of bugs etc and sand is hella heavy so i like perlite but lately just been using strait fox farms or premium soil because smaller containers it helps alot i need to retain water

ill be taking these another week or so in the 4 inch pots. im planning on just putting them in 3 gallon pots to last through flowering. and im 90% sure im just going to use Fox farm ocean forest again but add perlite this time.. its bout all my local hydro store has. besides coco. but prob 1 of the better options.

grow bags work great and are cheap as hell and come in all sizes

ya i considered those. i got the 3 gal pots already. not to bad of a price. bout 10 bucks for all of em.

i dont have any updates. there all groing a good 3/4 inch a day. my tallest is jtr 1 at 11 1/2 inches. its been a little droopy tho. while all my other plants look like their loving life. also found a few spider mites on the jtr. and 1 of the afgooeys. fucking club gave me spider mites from the start. im bout ready to start spreading there name negatively if they dont at least call me back. its been 3 days. ive called 3 times. and they keep saying they will call me back. we will see what happens tomorrow. i mean 15 buck a pop i was pest free.

one of the reasons im mainly a seed guy i buy clones from mainly one club i trust how they handle there clones almost too careful about pest (don"t let anyone touch etc) i got a lil quaranteen area for the clones i get from other clubs just incase i come across a clone of one of those next big thing strains i just gotta get


try neem oil bro its kills spider mites like crazy i hear or get all natural 3n1 pest spray its at home depot gotta get the veggie one thou

ya im treating with neem oil. there going away. 1 more spray and ill be good. gave them all just high N bat guano. figured it couldnt hurt anything. my jtr has been a little pale. so far im not hating technaflora. wont be as good as house and garden. but i knew that before i started. im still working my way up. i did about 50% strength yesterday. im going to get soil tomorrow and transplant sometime in the next week. as of now jus goin for FFOF and perlite. what % of perlite tho? 10-15 percent or so.

you can go as high as 25% i would say since you want great drainage

k guys i got 2 more clones yesterday. one is Odyssey and the other is Lavender. they were in rockwool and mainly stretched. since hydro seems to stretch way dif than soil. a week or so they will catch up with the others. there both around 8 or 9 inches. while jtr is my tallest at almost 13 inches.

alright guys i got em all into 3 gallon pots in my room. its a tight fit but its looking good. bout 2 more weeks till i flower. not sure when. but prob no more than 18-20 inches end of veg. then ill throw them under my hps.
