My Second Grow

Hi guys...

Well, pleased to say I've only decided to start this journal at the point of switching to 12/12.

This is a pic of my two new lovely plants which I've been very pleased with throughout their entire vegetative growth and now started the bud process.

Tried a slightly different brand of high-hydrogen soil mixed again with 25% perlite and 25% vermiculite. That and a little water, no additional nutrients and the same little self contained grow room with constant air supply from an inverted bathroom extractor fan sucking nice clean fresh air into the purpose built box.

Picture supplied, will try and keep this journal updated on a regular basis.

p.s. plants are 4 weeks old today...

p.p.s all comments welcome!

They are silver shiva. Yeah i think they just needed a water in that shot,

I'm just using a 200W envirolite, using red spectrum now but used a blue for veg.

check out my previous grow and you'll see the bud that i got from the last ones. It's only for personal usage and i don't smoke that much... just grow enough for my wife and i to smoke year round...

Not doing anything about the smell... I just open my garage door and let flavour flood out! The extractor is sucking in fresh air constantly from outside and pushing the bad air out of a vent at the top of the box. Seems to be working perfectly and after the success on the last grow my intention was to just create more of the same.

Had to trash one of the plants this morning as it's turned out male... never mind... still have one female which i'm hoping (see other thread) that i may be able to supercrop...

Great to see you at it again Shiva. Do you know the strain? O well one male one female now you can focus all your work on this one plant. I swithced to flower the same time you did and ended up with one female and one possible hermie. By the way what was the dry weight of your last harvest?

All i know is they are silver shiva... No idea what the dry weight was as i don't have scales. All i know is i still have plenty left and it's a fantastic cool smoke!

Hi there, not sure why they look stretched as the light was kept about an inch away the whole time... i have pruned a little now and also supercropped so hopefully the next pics will show some signs of proper budding... watch this space! Thanks for the compliment!

the plants looked stretched major other then that they look great :)

OK, what can i say.

I went to work yesterday, asked my wife to move my little grow room from it's current location as we had guests arriving. Got home to find no glow from my lovely little 200W envirolite bulb... my wife admits she didn't notice but guesses she must have somehow damaged it during the move.

So now what do i do in the short term?

It's going to have to give my plant 12 hours of normal sunlight/12 hours of dark for a few days until my red spectrum bulb arrives... anyone else have any other ideas?

There are unfortunately no stockists near me who stock this kind of bulb. Is this going to completely ruin the flowering process? What chance does my plant have now?

If I was u I would just head down to my local Waly World or HomeDePot and pick up a few smaller CFLs like 20-26w for a few days. That is if moving them in and out will not work. I hope this helps.

Luckily - moving them seems to be working so will stick to that till light arrives!

Thanks for help though!

I used two single 200W envirolite (1 blue for veg, 1 red for flowering)... couldn't tell you the exact yield as i'm not obsessed enough to weigh it. But at I had enough to last me from April to August and it's still going!

thanks man i kept getting all these diffrent people telling me u need like
40000 watts of cfl and people saying u only need like 30 watts just crazy shit at compleat diffrent extreams... its nice to see results and a reasonable answer i think ima grow 2-4 plants start out under 125 cfl 6500k then add another 125 cfl 2700k for flower with mabe a few smaller leds or cfl
