your ph might be a bit high cuz it looks like ur plants are banding up a bit. Add a couple drops of vinegar to your water.....that helped mine a lot when they appeared that way

The plants are now 3 weeks and 1 day old, i tried putting vinegar in the water and it seemed to help thanks, i'm gonna feed them again on wednesday still at quarter strength also using a spray bottle on leaves every now and then.
I'm keeping the bulbs 2 inches away from the top of the plant trying to keep the nodes packed close together as i don't want the plant stretching.
Here's the pics anyway first pics are plant 1 and the other pics are of plant 2

If it seemed to help, continue with a couple drops every watering till those leaves perk up. Your soil needs to be treated so continure with the vinegar for a couple of waterings. Just a couple drops tho!

Thanks, i didn't know that it could burn your plants cheers for telling me i'll have to be careful with it now. I spray them in the morning an hour after the lights have come on and also once before the lights switch off. I try to make sure that the water doesn't form droplets on the leaves just a fine mist, i'll let you know if there are any problems due to the misting could you let me know if you have any problems cheers again for the info.

you wont burn your plants using cfl's, very highly doubt it anyways.

Nice plants by the way, coming along.

You say the cops fly over your place alot. I believe that they can only read heat coming from ventilation... usually only a problem with attick growers. If the room is insulated then they would have no way to see the heat.
Im not 100% on this, but im pretty sure. Maby someone else can verify.

Ive seen very few people have success with cfl's through flowering- The ones I have seen (pics on the net) didnt really impress me all that much.
If you can get away with using an Hps or somethin, you should. You'll probably end up with 200% more budz.

Good luck!

Cheers AllMeat, i nuted the plants yesterday instead of wednesday and i'm gonna carry on with the nutes at quarter strength every monday, when do i change the nutes to half strength? if anyone could give me any advice it would be great.
Hopefully the plants will continue to grow as they do now, as i said before they are bag seed and i'm not sure what strain they are. As AllMeat said before its an indica so it looks like its gonna be a couch lock kinda stone.
I have already got a 400watt metal halide bulb i just got to buy a ballast for it so i got to see what i can do in regards to buying one, i'll have to look into the heat strength that the cops can pick up and i'll get back to you.

Here are a few pics of my first plant, the string is tied around the stem to keep it growing straight up, they are now both 3 weeks and 4 days old don't know what they should look like at this age as they are my first success lol. Thanks for reading this and feel free to comment Peace out

Hi everyone,
firstly i have taken the tinfoil off my first pot and lowered one of the cfl's to try and give the lower leaves abit more light, i have done the same to the second pot except for the tinfoil. i have 2 more cfl bulbs the only thing is that i gotta wait till payday to get the fittings for them, so hopefully i will have 3 cfl's per plant.

Plant 1 is now just under 4 inches and the leaves at the base have started to pick up so hopefully i can get the bottom back on track. Thanks again MetalZeus for the vinegar idea.

Plant 2 isn't as bushy as the other plant but it is taller, 5 inches tall and have't had any problems with it yet.

Feel free to comment or criticise as i'm not an ass (don't think so at least :?) lol

Peace out Pliskin095

Here are pics of my plants, they are 1 month old tomorrow plant 1 has grown an inch in the past 2 days, and plant 2 has grown about 3 quarters of an inch.
I'm waiting until monday before i nute again and i've been letting the fan blow on the plants and the stems are now thickening up and becoming quite strong.

Is it true that indicas reach their sexual peak between 6-8 weeks? i just wanna know so i can judge when to flower in the future, i was thinking of letting them both get to 12 inches before i try flower and sex them both. If anyone can help it would be a great help.

Anyway here's the pics of plant 1 and the stem.

you have a fan blowing above the tops of them right? i just can't tell becasue of the pictures also i was just thinking that you could make up some getto rigged cover over the lights so that you can use that wasted light that normally wouldn't go to the plants but thats just my advise.

I made a ghetto reflector last night for plant 1, still need to make 1 for plant 2 though. I'm nuteing again next monday at half strength and i'm just gonna use water the rest of this week. Is it ok to nute at half strength now there 4 weeks old?

Anyway heres the pics
1. plant 1's reflector lined with white paper
2. plant 1 under the reflector
3. I made a new C02 mix last night and the plants love it.

doesn't look that bad you should probally put like tin foil on it just so it reflects more and tin foil is preatty much free so it won't cost much

but anyways did you say that you had a fan blowing on the plants?

Her, nice grow so far, I believe you need to raise your co2 hose a couple inches so that it lets out on top of the plants, not below. This way it gently falls onto the plant, not below the plant.
Co2 is haevier than air.
