Need Advice...

SO I have one plant that has been flowering under 5 cfl's for about 5.5 weeks. I've been alternating between watering with Green Light Super Bloom and water with molasses. I don't have a michroscope so haven't been able to check out the trichomes. My issue is that I have to go out of town on monday for business, and probably will be gone for one full week, but possibly two weeks. I don't know whether I should just water heavy and hope that I'm back in a week, or harvest. What would happen if I just left it in soil without water for two weeks? Would the bud be okay, or should I harvest on sunday? My last watering was with just water and a little molasses two days ago. I'm pretty confident that all will be well if I'm back in a week, but what I'm worried about is the possibility of being gone another week. Any advice would be appreciated.:-?

Don't harvest it yet. Water it good before you go and they will be fine. CFL's won't get to hot and dry out the soil as fast as hps do. Are we talking 5 or 7 days?

Get a drip system or something that will keep your soil moist...even letting it go for a week is going to be devestating...your plant at this stage is probably drinking every few days. Don't waste her like that...she will die. Maybe you could get someone to look after it while your gone...if you trust anyone that much.

It will be seven days (hopefully). Does anybody know an inexpensive drip system, or would somebody like to explain a wick system to me.

I think most garden places will have some sort of drip system that shouldn't be too expensive. I don't know of the wick system, but if it works find out more.

I know with other houseplants you can wrap the plant in a plastic bag, after watering, and it will keep the water in.I can't tell you if that would work fro a plant in flowering, but its worth thinking about.

Wrapping it up in a bag will only increase it's chance for mold and stem rot. Just look for an efficent drip system...it's your safest bet. It's too bad you ned to go away when your baby is in it's flowering stage so far, it's vital to keep an eye on it all the time, ANYTHING can happen in just 24 hours.

I know, its kind of a bummer. I've taken such good care of her for so long and now I have to leave town at like the most important time. I hope it all works out.
