yeah ummm breeding is very complicated ... you dont just put a male and a female together and get a good strain with the traits you want off the bat. what kind of setup are you working with ?

I understand it's complicated, thats why I asked for a good place to start. I dont want to come in here after reading one page of shit and ask a bunch of questions that have already been accumulated in one spot. Kind of need to know where to start I guess.

As far as the set up goes I currently am running

TABLE 1; Veg tray, drip system @ 1250 ppm, 250 watt Feliz 6500K light with wing, currently holding 8 moms, various strains
TABLE 2: Veg tray, ebb and flow @ 1000 ppm, 150 watt Feliz 6500K light with wing, currently holding 6 young plants various strains
Flowering chamber: (2) 150 watt HPS lights, ebb and flow table @ 1250 ppm flower nutes,

man hold on, this is way easier...

As stated in my first post, if I need something I'll buy it. These lights you see in the vid will be used for whatever they need to be as of July 1st. I ordered a plasma light set up and thats when it arrives. I figured it would give me enough time to learn before setting up the room, etc.

whats up TOUCHET, well 1st off your going to need a male plant. now you can ether use a chocolope or white widow male and cross. grow out the F1's (1st gen) and do some inbreeding or back crossing with the original female chocolope or white widow ( up to you). or find a male from a other strain you mite be intersted in, cross with both chocolope and white widow females, grow out the F1's of both and inbreed all the traits that you want. then when your happy with how stable they are cross the (chocolope X new male) with the (white widow X new male) and get some badass plants with hybred vigro and go from there..

Nice. thanks. Can you direct me towards maybe a good thread in here that covers it more detailed. I appreciate your answer, it leads me to go trade clones tomorrow,

we are off and running!

Or you could get one of them to "herm" and cross the pollen of the hermed planted with the plant you want, this will give you all female seeds, F1- grow those out (there are going to be a ton of different phenos.) pick the pheno you like most and back cross it with one of the parents. then grow those out, pick the pheno you like again and back cross it with one of the original parents. this takes professional breeders about a year. good luck man

dont breed with feminized genetics.

i whouldnt breed with any "HERM" plant of any kind..because that herm gene is going to be in there some were. just one more prob trying to breed these..as for more detailed info, theres a few good books like CANNABIS BREEDERS BIBLE & MARIJUANNA BOTANY both really good books on the subject..

so dont do what the guy above you said to do , get all female seeds?

I know I can herm a chocolope or one of my widows and get seeds. So from there I would take those seeds and do? I know how to pollinate cause it did it with a female in the backyard. I took a female clone from and put her with the males I had gotten from the batch of seeds (soon to have a name) I got the females from. I have those seed now, un germ'd. So whats next?

no dont use any hermy plant or pollen what so ever..it will just make things harder..just find a male from a other strain that you like. it will be like a 3 way cross

Finding a male might be a lot harder than making one, I'll keep my eye out. I am have the time to invest as well as the resources.

just buy some cheap beans from a decent seed bank that you whould be intersted in and grow them out.."bingo bango" you got your male. should be stable anuff for what you want to do.

I'm only interested in growing chocolope for breeding, I want a male chocolope so I can cross with a WW, hence "White chocolate"

when breeding is there any indication of either the male or female typically being the dominant genetics?

may i have a reason or this just advice, because it is surely the fastest way to save genetics that would probably otherwise be lost.but yes if u want a TRUE BREEDING plant for best results, your right dont "breed" with feminized but still a great way to make new strains, and "white chocolate" can defiently be made by this method for crossing plants

for example i have a mass super skunk that i have had for 3 years now (no males of that) and a pakistan valley from world of seeds. i stressed out my super skunk so that it would produce female pollen and crossed it with the pakistan valley' i grew those seeds out got no hermies, saved the from the original super skunk (a plant i forced to herm) and crossed it again. those are now called Mass H1N1 aka swine flu. not sayin that plants wont herm on you but it hasnt been a problem so far. maybe if u take a plant that always herms on you and you cross it with sumthing that will probably have the herm pheno in it but if u make a plant herm because of stress i see no problem. other crosses i have made are the 978, jonnie blaze, and comet kush- after my 22 year old cat. rip. i have noticed everyone is afriad of herms cuz they dont know to handle them, get past the fear and make sum great fucking strains like the white chocolate

as long as the strain is stable, it wont matter if you use the male or female..but for bud its better to use the female IMO. that way you know what your looking at/for

it takes alot of time, space and money to breed plants. and i dont want to take a chance on crossing something and it herms on me.

then i have to start all over when i could have done it right the first time.IMO its just sloppy breeding
