Need skunk advice/opinions

First off, let me apologize to the Mods if I posted this in the wrong forum!!!:dunce:

I have a grow area that is approximately 8' x 2.5' (5' tall, but I can easily extend my heighth another 3' by removing a shelf). reflective mylar lined, ventillated, etc, with a 600w HPS light. I am using Miracle grow potting soil as a growing medium in 3 or 5 gallon pots.

What I need advice and opinions on, is what is the best (in your opinions) strain/brand of Skunk (or Super Skunk) for this application. I'm looking for high/yield/taste/smell/bag appeal/ the whole 9 yards!!!! I have some pretty decent ideas, but I thought I would consult our resident experts before attempting to get the seeds.

Any input/advice is GREATLY appreciated!!!!!:bigjoint:

No opinions???????? Surely I'm not the only skunk fan here!!???????
The skunk no1 from seedsman has good reviews and I had great yield on my haze cross with skunk no 1. Certainly good breeders like sensi, mr nice, and others who offer skunk would offer good representations. Why skunk? WHat characteristics are you looking for in your plant/high

Actually, this whole strain thing confuses the shit out of me. I've been smoking pot for over 30 years, but no one I have ever met called it by names! In my circle (maybe I'm just too old) you have either brown pot (shit), green pot, mids (GOOD green pot), or hydro (very rare and VERY expensive!!). That's it!!

The hands-down best pot I have EVER had was some skunk bud a friend of ours used to grow -- you could smell that stuff from a LONG ways away! Unfortunately, he was killed on a motorcycle several years ago. There were never any seeds to keep, and cloning was way off of our charts!! As a result, none of us have seen any weed that is even remotely in the same ball park since then.

Skunk, from what I have researched, gives nice stinky buds with good yield, shouldn't grow too tall, and is easy to grow. That's why I am thinking of growing a batch of skunk of some sort.

I also would like to try a couple of White Widow or AK-47 plants, just to try them out. I generally like a serious stuck-to-the-couch stone (which I remember skunk doing quite nicely), but I might try some of the others for more of an upper/high. I've had weed that would actually make you feel high yet energized, but I haven't had any like that in many years and I have absolutely NO idea what kind it was.

So, ya -- I'm open to suggestions other than skunk if they give an energy high yet still give good yields. I might try growing a mix --- but some big, fat, sticky, stinky, red-haired buds are definitely on the agenda!!! :bigjoint:

Nice dude.... Sativa is your up high/energizing, Indica is your couchlock. Then there are hybrid spectrums of the two. For a couchlock that is amazing you should try Sensi's northern lights or some variation of which is mostly an Afghani Indica. Skunk haze is a good up, super silver haze, jack herer. Dpeends if you want more psychadelic or energy buzz.

Psychadelic is VERY good!!!!!!! lol!!!

Sensi's northern lights??? I keep hearing NL refered to, but since I've never smoked any that I am aware of, I don't know what to expect! Is Sensi the company name (ya, noob question, lol)?? If not, do you know if Attitude carries them???

I've thought about trying some skunk haze, but haven't yet. I'll look into some hybrids with a higher sativa content.

My favorite skunk is BC Roadkill Skunk. I could write out a whole thing about how I love the intense musty skunky smell/taste which stinks like crazy and how it gets me drooling stoned and how it's the most eye-catching strain I've grown and on and on or I could just post some pics and tell you to try it out yourself. The beans are cheap, most other cheap seeds don't perform this well. This is where I got them ---> http://hempdepot.ca/seeds/Cannacopia/BCRoadkill.htm

Skunk #1 - not a bad strain overall, but this recreation is but a recreation of the original skunk... So, its so, so.. Red Hair Skunk - is a very fast strain, similar to skunk #1, but without the heavy buzz type feel. I read that RKS, from reserva privada is suppose to be skunky, but that this skunk is a clear-headed high.

yea thanks bro. I used a 600 watt hps for that plant. I'm pretty sure the medium on that one was coco but I was also running hydromix at the same time so it could have been that as well. It'll come out pretty much the same in either medium. Nutes were AN Sensi 2part and Big Bud and Ionic Boost.

And I think it would be useful information for you to know what I am comparing this strain to. These are the other strains I've grown.

Green House Seeds:
Lemon Skunk
Cheese
White Rhino
Trainwreck
Great White Shark

TGA/subcool:
Vortex
Chernobyl
Jillybean

Cannacopia (same breeder as BC Roadkill):
Bubba's Kush

Nirvana/Sativa Seedbank (many people don't know they're the same company):
Jock Horror
Bubblelicious
Super Skunk
White Lady

BC Bud Depot:
Sweet God

Not only will I say BC Roadkill is the best skunk in that list but it's in the top 5 of the whole thing. Many of the strains in that list have came and went (I only have room for about 6 at a time) but the BC Roadkill has stood the test of time.
